I fought like a tiger to give birth naturally in 1972. Then I had to fight the system to breast feed my child. From then on I guarded my son against a world which was trying to crush his spirit every single day. He is now 52 years young and I still fight for his rights.
When I was born (1949) you got circumcised and jabbed. Later, teeth, tonsils and adenoids were at hazard from medicine, as if, like foreskins, they were God's errors. Or maybe those body parts were an excess of design in need of streamlining (though the same generation added fins to cars!).
There's no problem with advances in equipment and techniques. However, without a respect for nature you can't know where you are advancing from and where you are advancing to.
I will not go into what happened when my only child was delivered by emergency C section just over 28 years ago. I am still traumatized by the memories.
Suffice it to say: Murphys Law.

Bottom line: Do not let your newborn out of your sight if delivery occurs in hospital and HAVE A PLAN and an ADVOCATE at your side if things go south...
PS: Do not allow ANY "routine" procedures to be performed on your newborn unless you KNOW exactly what those procedures entail, because you have performed your DUE DILIGENCE whereupon you give your INFORMED CONSENT. (Or DENIAL of consent.)
Do not become a prisoner just because you've been "admitted" to the hospital.
The good doctor author indicates that women are more of a victim than men. Maybe someone should inform the good doctor author that women live six years longer than men on average. Perhaps we need to rethink that women are the bigger victim pool
My hub is 7 years older, I'm 76, he's 83, Aug/July adds a year. He thinks watching TV is basically all he needs to do, and take the 2 Statins he wouldn't need if he gave up all the kiddie cereal/candy he consumes daily. 85% of his diet. if not more.
You mention ultrasound but not in the context that it is, itself, is extremelly damaging to all fetuses exsposed to it. Maybe you cover this somewhere else, hopefully.
