Healthy, well people are NOT profitable. The “Healthcare” industry is a diabolical construct overseeing the calculated death of the global population. Hmmm. Where have we heard the earth’s population is not sustainable at present count and growth ?

Switched over many years ago and recall the Dr Mary Newport's husbands recovery with coconut from severe alzheimer's. If there is one essence of this lengthy article it is how American corporations impose their industrial waste on us as healthy for profit while destroying any and everything natural that has sustained life and health for millenium! The medical industry was created, like every other industry, for profiteering. And for it to work the public had to be handed a narrative that attacked everything else, directed people to the industry white coats, and to have the public lose all trust in its own observations and internal knowledge about ourselves. The Covid debacle was a massive public display of this process of creating co-dependency on an industry that never promoted health, sold toxic drugs by creating fear mongering lies and attacking any personal sense of reality. This is a great article to be saved and shared.

I don't understand all of them, but your articles are a blessing to us! I don't understand how you have the energy, time, and courage to publish everything you do---maybe it's the coconut oil---but God bless you for doing it! My wife is huge on coconut oil; she's from the Kenyan coast where it is predominant in just about everything from skin and hair care to cooking. My people are Italian/French background, so I grew up with olive oil as our go-to oil. We did a rather brief foray into margarine during my childhood, largely for economic reasons, but left it by the wayside, where it rightfully belongs, after a few years. Butter rules!

Thanks again for fighting the good fight!

Joe I think the same thing every time I read the articles. How much brain power and time is required. It’s awesome that we get to reap the benefits of this work!

I completely agree with this excellent article.

The Minnesota Coronary Experiment disproved the Keys diet-heart hypothesis, so the data was buried for decades. Keys was one of the investigators.

This is a prime example of the idiocy of “evidence-based” medicine—The “evidence” is biased and/or corrupt. Medicine must be based on science, not “evidence.” The best arguments against the cholesterol hypothesis are the biochemistry and physiology of cholesterol synthesis and function. This hard science is simply ignored by EBM in favor of Pharma-produced statin trials.

Coconut oil is healthy and should replace seed oils in every kitchen in the country.

Thank you for this very informative article. I am so happy being able to read your stuff.

I use a lot of coconut oil for my body insight and outside.

Back when I was trying to figure out all my health problems I went to a practitioner who put me on a high saturated fat diet. My GP was horrified and said she guaranteed that the lipids in my blood would look awful if I followed that diet. But everything started to look better! The GP I have now told me I should stop eating so much butter! I told him I was going to take my chances with the cholesterol, thanks.

I read the Weston Price book and discussed it with Andy Cutler who wrote the book on chronic mercury toxicity. He had been doing some research on people's physiognomy looking at old photos. He called what we have started to look like now "snouty." Our faces have gotten thinner and more nosy. The classic Weston A Price face was broad with lots of room for teeth. He pointed out, however, that toxic metals came in to the traditional cultures at the same time as the white flour, and jams and jellies.

I discovered Dr. Mary Newport's blog in 2010 when I was trying to assist a friend to find anything which might help ameliorate his mother's alzheimer's disease.

https://coconutketones.com/

She began having normal conversations with her son when he introduced it into her smoothies.

I live in Virginia. Am on a constant quest for good coconuts. Very hard to find.

A produce guy at a Latin grocer told me to look for the hairiest ones. That the bald ones have been around too long, jostled, and handled and dried out. Most offerings are bald.

People complain they can’t find a good melon..I can’t find a good coconut.

I don't know what Virginia is like these days, but if there is a Trader Joe's anywhere around, they sell nice coconut oil (virgin, cold-pressed, tasty) at a very reasonable price and it has a very long shelf life. I know it isn't an actual coconut but.....speaking of coconuts, the absolute best ones are the young "green" or "jelly" ones, which you can find if you are somewhere where they grow....man, drinking that juice right ou of the shell and then busting it in half and scraping out the soft meat/jelly with a spoon or piece of shell....there's nothing else like it in the free world.

Joe you are killing me! I grew up in Costa Rica and LOVED jelly cocos.

I do have a trader Joe… will look for the oil. Thanks!!

I found this website online to locate seed oil free restaurants in our areas:

YAY! First Watch Restaurant does not use seed oils (olive oil) & is less than 2-miles from our home. Thanks for the link.

Thank you for this article. We've recently eliminated ALL processed oils from our house (they're in everything!). And replaced them with virgin coconut oil for internal and external use, palm oil or avocado oil for cooking, and EV olive oil for low or no heat consumption. We're already loosing weight and feeling more cognitively healthy.

Great article. Thank you so much for making this available.

One of my favorite Unbekoming articles. I studied biochemistry in college and in my physiology classes, I saw the structure of cell membranes. During my studies, it dawned on me what a scam trans-fats are as the process of making a fat trans required very little heat and at physiological temperatures, (body temperature - around 98°F), the polyunsaturated fat will trans itself. After i went back to saturated fats, lots of my nagging little problems went away.

Animals know what's good for them. My dog laps up any coconut oil I drop while preparing a recipe, like pancakes. I like to use it for his yeast outbreaks, but he licks it off the moment I put it on. Oh well, at least it's good for him.

I highly recommend the book "Coconut Therapy for Pets" by Bruce Fife, ND. Coconut oil is excellent for internal and external use in pets.

Do we really want to eat anything containing canola oil? Look at how it's processed:
