May I add something to that perspective? Human beings are highly complex entities. What we consider to be ourselves, what we experience in our day-to-day awareness or consciousness is only "the tip of the iceberg" of what we actually are. We posess, as beings functioning in this three-dimensional time-space universe, a very limited ability to focus on or be aware of what is actually going in around us and inside of us at any given moment. MOST of what we are is operating "below the surface" from our limited perspective constrained in this physical experience. Our "subconscious self" is huge! We hold many, many memories and BELIEFS on that subconscious level, and it is beliefs held and expressed by parts of our subconscious (including our "worldview") that influence our thoughts.
So a more complete rendition might look like this:
Beliefs held by subconscious parts > inspire those parts to guide or direct our actions/behaviors > parts exert influence by generating "feelings", both physiological and emotional > feelings are the means of communication between the subconscious and our conscious self > feelings "drive behaviors" and push us into responding to the desires of the subconscious (that originate in its belifs).
As a side note: the "Word" referred to in the Bible (as in John 1:1) has nothing to do with written or spoken language, or pen and paper recording letters. The Word is ENERGY, the primordial Consciousness from which everything else is derived. The physicists call it The Quantum Field. Religious people call it God or the Name of God ". . . and the Word was God". Which is why it cannot be uttered. It IS God itself!
Oh Unbekoming... I roll my eyes and snarl every morning as your SO IMPORTANT 'stacks pile up in my inbox... The first one I tripped over a month ago was about no longer allowing mammograms. That solidified for me my sneaking up on "I don't WANT a yearly one." (The VA gives me one 'free'). I finished your 'stack and immediately signed up to it for a year.
Right now, I have FOUR open in my browser, and have already read and closed 3-4. Doggone it! I WORK for a living! I have things to do, places to go, people to see! And.... you pull me back for essay after essay. A huge amount is stuff I know, but so beautifully summarized and presented... I just can't stop! Yeah, I'm sharing bits and pieces and urging folks to get onboard!
Lets drift slightly but in the same vein. 15,000 inspections of Abbott Baby Formula didn't occur since Biden took office until the one that shut it down, in Nov 21 a 41% functioning Essential plant down, to every food recall since Jan 2020. I follow recalls, mostly medical, but these get caught to, and this is the absolute highest food, medicine recalls I've tracked. Inspectors were NOT ESSENTIAL WORKERS. Does this failure to inspect Essential industry, affect a lot more? We know FAA regs were ignored, and they include Pilots, and Air Controlers. OSHA regulates Heavy Equipment, Semi Trucks, etc. Did Bridges get inspected? Memphis' main bridge across the mighty Mississippi is required to be inspected every two years. The now fired inspector falsified his last two reports, a crack in the Bridge was photographed by
an unknown person, just taking a photo of the Unique M bridge as it is called. Which had to be closed, repaired, and every bridge in Tennessee inspected again.
"Thousands of medications recalled from Kroger and Walgreens" Which should read NATIONWIDE AND INCLUDE ADULT GUMMY BEAR SUPPLEMENTS. AS TWO CHILDREN HAVE DIDED (CDC) THOUSANDS SICK, OR HOSPIALTIZED ADULT MELITONIAN Turns out it's a Decade old issue. There are many other stores, products and supplements that are dangerous to a child who thinks it is candy. As a Type 2 Diabetic, I know my limit.
