I have 3 forms of Strophanthus. The homeopathic tablets (strophanthus herztabletten) by Heel, a German homeopathic company, Strophanthus hispidus liquid mother tincture (inexpensive at Amazon) by Dr. Reckeweg (he started Heel in the 1930's) and the actual Strophanthus seeds that I chew. Whenever I feel that my heart is "off kilter," I take the homeopathic or chew the seeds. I use the liquid (10 drops) in water in the mornings. It's been a great help. I'm so fortunate to know about it and to actually use these wonderful medicines. I'm 77 and hope to be around with the help of natural medicines that I research and use, much to the dismay of my doctors. Wanted to include photo of all 3, but I guess that's not an option.
I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Amazon, their products are full of toxins plus Amazon should be boycotted by everyone. I boycotted them in 2015 even before Chris Smalls organized a walkout to protest what he said was a lack of proper safety protocols around COVID-19 exposures at the Staten Island warehouse he worked at in 2020.
Those tablets that I bought came from Germany and when I went looking for the same tablets, there was a disclosure on their page that said they are not shipping to the US because of the tariffs. So I found a place to buy them but it was $80 for one bottle of 50 tablets. I was getting 250 tablets, two bottles for around $50. I guess I can no longer afford them.
Imagine a heart medicine so effective that patients scheduled for bypass surgery became symptom-free in two weeks—without surgery, without cholesterol drugs, without lifelong prescriptions. Now imagine that instead of becoming standard care, this medicine was erased from medical education and practice within a single generation. Not because it failed, but because it worked in a way the system could not tolerate.
I had a patient many years ago who had intractable angina, after numerous CABG's and several stent placements. Nitrates and all other anti-anginas provided little or no relief He was on hospice care, expected to live weeks or at most a couple months. I gave him homeopathic strophanthus and his angina became much more manageable. He ultimately died of heart failure, but survived for an additional two years, while using strophanthus! I considered it a minor victory, given how horrible his heart disease was.
I am going to look into this further and see if there is any usefulness in taking it if one does not yet have the conditions of heart disease yet has a family history of it and an interest in the structured water treatment. I do not want to take a supplement that will simply replace my own body's job that is working correctly and perhaps it is not necessary, but this surely shows promise, especially with the knowledge that is the number one killer in the world.
Sroka has been sharply critical of what he considers the “statinization of medicine” — a term he used in several of his commentaries and public lectures in Germany.
According to his analyses:
The absolute risk reduction from statin therapy in primary prevention is minimal compared with lifestyle optimization, microcirculatory support, and endothelial health measures.
Pharmaceutical influence on guideline committees has distorted perception of evidence strength.
Many studies exaggerate outcomes by reporting relative risk reduction, masking the fact that most people derive negligible benefit.
He often pointed out the dissonance between biochemical endpoints (cholesterol numbers) and clinical endpoints (extended life expectancy or reduced infarction rates).
I had atrial fib and heart palpitations until I took magnesium supplements. Although I no longer take Mg every day, I no longer have the heart EKG irregularities. Could the Strophanthus be fixing the charge discrepancy caused by mineral imbalance and it becomes toxic because it messes up this balance? This article brings up another great idea for cardiac health and may help other ailments due to the way it works.
Wait a minute! This essay on strophanthus contains an astonishing statement about the actual nonexistence of the sodium-potassium pump. This is a casual dismissal of basic biochemistry that I was taught in medical school. This cannot just be inserted into a discussion of cardiology. This should be the subject of an essay and should be supported by more than just one reference. This is a backhanded rejection of one of the fundamental principles of biochemistry. This requires a lot more consideration.
You sound like someone who's built a career on a lie and just had his balloon popped!! Or maybe the gate is now open for some lucrative cash cow to disappear through? I'm sure there must be cascades of evidence from the clown world of germ theory you can supply us for us to 'consider'?
You sound unreasonably hostile for no apparent reason. This is about the sodium-potassium pump, which has in no way been disproved. This is biochemistry, not germ theory.
i'm sure Dr Andreas Noack could have helped you with your question but he was killed after his videos went out as to the real ingredients in the covid vaccines that caused heart attacks. Do you think he was mistaken?
Quoted from the article: "Understanding why this medicine vanished may be as important as understanding why it works."
I believe analysis of why humans prefer delusions of "profit" rather than supporting the realities of "health" might be a key "understanding". I guess parasites don't possess analytical skills...
A simple DuckDuckGo search for strophanthus brought up homeopathic dilutions, all quite reasonably priced. Also the link to Dr Tom Cowan. Are there products that are out there, but should be avoided or taken orally with safer dosage and frequency guidelines?
Homeopathy, is dilution and succussion, which amplifies the source material as medicine. Dr. Cowan is using this as herbal. I recommend ordering from his clinic website. Source and format matter.
I get my Strophanthus from a very old German homeopathic company that I used to work for and is MUCH less expensive. I'll stick with affordability and I trust the quality implicitly.
I am happy to hear you have a reliable source of homeopathic remedies. I studied homepathy for 4 years. My homeopathic remedies are 25 years old now. Some from India and some from Boiron.
Last year, I wanted to buy a remedy that is *not* sold by Boiron and *not* available in my country. So I bought from a company I found "online". The website looked good. It seemed like a real homeopathic pharmacy. But I am confident it was a fake. I had zero reaction to it. I tried to call them, not reachable.
That is why I cautioned the other person. Lots of people say something is "homeopathic" and it's not. Also, herbal use is not the same as homeopathic
Actually, I have purchased Stropanus from Dr. Cowan's clinic. I have his heart book too. I think he is brilliant. But stropanus was neutral for me. Pleasant, not hard to take but no resolution of symptoms. I have my spouse in Hawthorn (herbal) and Nux V. (30x) nux based on personality. LoL. And the cardiac symptoms have stabilized.
I agree that herbal is not homeopathic. The Strophanthus mother tincture is definitely herbal and is used to make the homeopathic dilutions. I've been studying herbal medicinals since the 1980's and homeopathic medicines since the mid 1990's. I experiment with my body after much research. I'm glad the hawthorn is working for your spouse and surprised that Strophanthus didn't work.
Heel was started by Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg (1905-1985) in the 1930's. He wrote the book Homotoxicology in 1980. I have the 3rd edition from 1989.
I ordered the homeopathic tablets and tincture through Amazon., and both are made in Germany. The tablets come from Heel, but the tincture is from Dr. Reckeweg & Company. My last order of tincture was ordered from a seller in India thru Amazon. I never got it and Amazon refunded my money.
When I have atrial fibrillation, chest pains or tightness, the tablets or seeds work almost immediately. The drops are very bitter, as are the seeds I chew, but my hope is that the drops will eventually correct the damage that Vioxx caused my cardiovascular system from when I took it in 2001. I'm still ticking at 77 yo.
My best wishes to you in your journey towards good health.
Hi! You have had wonderful training and great work experience. I admire your career. WOW. Vioxx. Terrible.
I am thrilled Strophanthus (I spelled it from memory earlier) is working so well for you. I will keep it in mind. I was surprised that Hawthorn has been so effective from my spouse, and I might switch him over to Strophanthus in the future.
Homeopathy saved my life. I was in the disability "hole" for more than a decade. Now, I am super grateful that I had to learn so many things for myself. That way I can look after myself and not rely on the sadly corrupt and failing medical system. I really appreciate the incredible topics that "UnbeKoming" provides us. Cheers!
Perhaps a long term trial of Nattokinase would be helpful to you and your spouse. I've been using it for 2 years and have gotten off my blood pressure medicines after 25 years on Lisinopril and 8 years on Amlodipine. Nattokinase is an amazing proteolytic enzyme, very safe to take long term, that dissolves clots (fibrin) and biofilm. My favorite is called Nattokinase by Arthur Andrew's Medical company. I think this reversed the damage Voixx caused.
The German company that manufactures Strophanthus hispidus is Dr. Reckeweg & Co. Dr. Reckeweg is deceased but his formulas live on. I believe a company in India is who I got this from. On the side of the label in the picture I'm sending is an email address and a phone number. I hope this helps.
The homeopathic tablets are very safe. The tinctures do have a protocol of beginning with only a few drops and working up to 10 drops, but it is stated on my bottle "to be used under medical advice only." More severe cases can go up to 20 to 30 drops, but once again, if you can find a doctor that is knowledgeable, monitoring might be best.
Dearest Unbekoming! I want you to know that of all the Substack articles I read( which are very many) your articles are so incredibly well done, more informative and hit the mark better than any other writers that I have read! Many Substack writers are very good but your articles give us what our souls are needing....REAL TRUE INFORMATION! I APPRECIATE YOU MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW! THANK YOU! JUDITH WILSON
As my research into it has only covered the heart, I don't think there's benefit to the eyes, but Dr. Eric Berg has a recent video on eyes and discusses help for glaucoma.

What are your thoughts on its “high toxicity rate” ?
Hmmm, I just checked on Amazon and cannot find the tablets. Only the tincture. That is strange, no?

Thank you!

I buy products from reliable manufacturers through the Amazon app so I'm not sure what you're buying that is full of toxins.
Natural herbs in Mama Africa!

Thank you for this great overview ~ and the discount code for Dr. Cowan's clinic.
Much appreciated! 🙏

Sounds a little like digitalis

You might take a look at Dr Cowan's books too. He blows the "heart is a pump" theory away.
Well, do some.

I use homeopathy as a first try as well. I would be interested to learn of your source. Thank you in advance.
I found a source for the homeopathic strophanthus, 50 tablets for $20.88 at Urenus. I am not familiar with the company but that’s a good price.

Agree 100%
Is there any research into strophanthus as a treatment for glaucoma?
It is a neurodegnerative disease and beta blocker drops are widely used currently in an attempt to forestall its damage.
As my research into it has only covered the heart, I don't think there's benefit to the eyes, but Dr. Eric Berg has a recent video on eyes and discusses help for glaucoma.
The statement :
[The sympathetic branch governs fight-or-flight . This response evolved to handle immediate physical threats. ]
needs some proof or evidence which is lacking. It is just an assertion. Show us some intermediate evolutionarily steps demonstrating this please.
I have AF, although I cannot actually feel it. Shows on my BP monitor....and an ECG. I will follow up the drops as that seems the best option for me.
I am 94 and have no plans to move on yet. My father passed at 103, but I am not as healthy as he was.
