Sounds like an iteration of the Buteyko Method who pioneered IH.

Yep and no need for the expensive devices.

One can also breathe into a paper bag to increase co2 quickly 😂.

Shades of one more thing I've seen, in various ways, since childhood, but have never paused or tried to "understand" exactly why people did (do) it.

Thanks Rob for giving me pause for thought and research. Courtesy of Substack Comments. 👍

Dr. Prokopov is a rock star, and it's great that you exposing his work to more people with this interview. His Lyme book is worth a read, as it gives details on how often and how long to cycle hypoxia (with normal breathing if doing Wim Hof or Buteyko, or hyperoxia if using a rebreathing device). Thanks very much for sharing this interview!

I think I'll checkout some of the links in the comments for simple breathing methods of hypoxia. But with effective rebreathers now costing only $1000 I might put one on my wish list, since cycling hypoxia and hyperoxia will be more effective than just focusing on hypoxia.

According to some delusional individuals on Substack, one does not even need oxygen to survive.... just "air". The need for oxygen is apparently a myth.

lol.... no lie... I told her to breath into a plastic bag for 5 minutes and let me know how that goes.

Isn't it interesting that with very little money and some dedicated effort in studying and application of health habits one can maintain health and yet Big Medicine/Pharma do exactly the opposite of this by keeping you uninformed, frightened and spending lots of money.

Thank you very much for this!

This was so interesting and cool to see these discoveries. It would be cool to also consider how Dr. Jack Kruse's discoveries with mitochondria tie in. His focus is how light coming into our bodies is necessary for healthy mitochondria.

I believe Arkadi is saying that toxins create mitochondrial dysfunction that leads to neurodevelopment disorders. He is not saying that autism isn't caused by aluminum in vaccines (as well as other toxins). What he is saying is that some level of this dysfunction can exist unperceived in the mother (from her vaccine use) and that the baby can be born with greater susceptibility to various autism triggers.

Dr Weston Price wrote about this sort of effect over 100 years ago, where dental deficiencies (narrowing of the upper jaw) were passed down through future generations. That should really piss off anyone with a loved one who is autistic who was born after the public destruction of Dr. Andrew Wakefield more than 40 years ago, when he tried to sound the alarm to minimize future damage. Instead, the damage had increased yearly from a failure to modify vaccines and other sources of environmental toxins.

The important thing to remember is that he is offering a way to potentially reverse the damage. Just don't expect insurance-reimbursed healthcare to pay for it, because that is contrary to their profit motives.

Well, if you never read a full article that you perceive as contrary to your personal beliefs your mind will always be closed. And you'll always be seeking a solution that you will never find.
