We readily drink the sap of the maple and birch and walnut and hickory trees, boiled down to syrup, or in some cases, directly from the tree (hunters are known to do this for energy or if they are thirsty). So it does not surprise me that the sap from another tree is also helpful. May big pharma die the death it deserves.

Question: If turpentine dissolves fat, what happens to the dissolved fat? Is it flushed out of the body in the stool? If it is, then shouldn't turpentine be considered as a weight loss mechanism (under controlled oversight) since obesity is nothing more than excess accumulated fat?

Personal anecdote: When I was in my early twenties, I developed a sinus infection which I could not get rid of. Being the "strong, silent type", I didn't go to a medical doctor for help and over-the-counter "cures" didn't work, so I suffered with it for weeks. One day, I was siphoning gasoline from a truck tank to use in another vehicle which was out, and accidentally got a mouthful from the hose which was swallowed and immediately burped up. The fumes penetrated into my head and within a minute my nose started vomiting out this nasty, foul, stinking stuff and within five minutes, the infection was gone and my head was completely clear. I have not suffered since.

I do not recommend this method, but it worked.

Well you definitely fume-agated yourself there!

What an experience!

"What happens to the dissolved fat?" We probably don't know what actually happens when you drink it. But the mechanism is always the same. Everything has only a few ways to exit: sweat (minimal toxins), breath (CO2), urine, and stool (and vomiting if a poison). Turpentine is not water-soluble; it will flow on top. So, dissolved fat is still liquidified fat. it will have to be delivered with blood back to the liver. The liver removes non-water-soluble toxins via bile. And bile release required fat in the meal. Perhaps even more fat to actually mobilise it, otherwise it will create a problem.

This is what I think, but not that I understand it fully.

Roxanne's avatar

Wow! Has to be an easier way, but illuminating!

Horsea T.'s avatar

It would be nice if someone would reply to your question re accumulated fat. I myself don't quite grasp exactly how turpentine works, from this article, though I do appreciate it and see that over much time it has shown itself to be a good medicine.

I wonder if she thinks that everyone has candida. I do remember that, maybe 25-35 years ago, it was the Disease of the Day. No matter what doctor you went to, it was "candida" you had. Without any proof or testing. There were whole books written on how we all have "candida". Yet today there is much less talk about this.

This is sad: I had a house guest, a penpal. On trying to feed her, she said she had "candida" - her MD told her so. She brought along with her little instant packages of oatmeal - and that was it. She was barred from consuming anything which "might have touched the ground", i.e., ordinary vegetables + the usual long long list of things which if you eat them, you are "feeding the candida".

Well, her extremely deficient anti-candida diet eventually produced cancer on her leg. I say this because we need many nutrients to have a robust body which does not produce cancer or anything serious.

So they gave her radiation, but must've been too much because her leg was badly burned and so they amputated it. So it curls my toes when I hear anyone, esp. doctors, talk about "candida". Candida in my judgment is just a symptom, not a disease. There is something wrong much higher up the pipe, so to speak.

Thank you for reading this.

Ol' Doc Skepsis's avatar

Sorry to hear about your friend. I agree that all 'diseases' are symptoms of nutrient deficiency, which mutes the immune responses. Bottom line, we MUST eat whatever our genetic ancestors ate, regardless of what brain sez. A friend of mine has been vegan since she was a teen, and has had skin cancer (now avoids sun exposure, which precludes vitamin D synthesis) and has had her thyroid removed (now a permanent pHARMa serf). SAD!

Edgar Cayce (1877–1945) , known as the "Sleeping Prophet", recommended turpentine in over 700 readings primarily for kidney and bladder health, respiratory support, and pain relief.

I have used Inspirol for respiratory issues for many years:

Inspirol (Herbal Breathing), Ingredients: Oil of Eucalyptus, Tolu Balsam, Compound Tincture of Benzoin, Oil of Pine Needles, Rectified Oil of Turpentine and Rectified Beechwood in a Grain Alcohol base.

Duchess's avatar

What does rectified mean in this?

Dodie's avatar

Rectified Oil of Turpentine is a highly purified, double-distilled form of turpentine derived primarily from the resin of pine trees.

This is fascinating! When I first moved to the mountains in Appalachia, many locals treated animal injuries by pouring kerosene on it. Like almost all injuries or problems. At the time I thought they were backwards hillbillies. After living amongst them for over a decade, I came to appreciate their knowledge of old timey ways and traditions. This article vindicates their knowledge and tradition completely. Thank you!! 👏👏

Duchess's avatar

I always thought if anyone survives what's coming..or can escape from what they have planned for us, it would be Appalachians. Salt of the earth and true backbone of this country. I admire them so much.

I am now worried sick about them...there's lithium in those hills. They know it now. I so want them to survive...their fierce independence and their culture can teach us so much

Ray Fouts's avatar

I thought the standard for animal injury treatment was DMSO

Christine's avatar

Apparently not in old Appalachia.

I read Jennifer Daniels years ago. All natural turpentine (best grade) still made old simple way. https://diamondgforestproducts.com/ They sell through Amazon too.

The brand mentioned in the post : Klean-Strip, I do not see 100% gum turpentine version, when I search Amazon, I do see versions of turpentine which is used for paint thinners which is not what we should be looking for.

philalethes's avatar

I made clear reference to "Diamond G" NOT Klean-Strip. Yes I wouldn't trust hardware store turp. The good stuff is found at art stores but likely pricey. Get it from the the artisan makers. Search Amazon for "diamond g forest turpentine"

John Galt - the fake one's avatar

I did not mean your post, but the original unbecoming article. ( I can see why I sounded confusing, I should have not responded to your post, but should have posted in a different thread)

philalethes's avatar

No problem JG. Let me pedantically note you should have not replied to my post and that put you off on a side branch; instead as your comment was for Bekoming, should have created a new post. Easy to get lost in all these posts within posts...within posts!

p.s. follow the John GALT thread...Ayn Rand was also incorporating info about the Thorium reactor tech which got intentionally pushed to th3e side by Big Oil to give us the more dangerous form of nuclear power...which would lead to a breech and accident...and shut down nuclear progress...keep us stuck on OIL.

Thanks for this! Because when I looked up Kleen Strip on Lowes.com someone commented "I contacted the manufacturer who informed me that the product is only 20 to 30 percent pure gum turpentine, the rest is paint thinner. If you're using this with wood finishes, the Startex brand (not sold by Lowes) is 100% pure gum turpentine from pine sap."

!!!

Your linked product looks even better.

I have a bottle of Diamond. Unopened. I received some months back a "recall" notice from Amazon. I don't know the reasoning behind it.

philalethes's avatar

why not contact Diamond? phone and email on their website.

Sam Miller's avatar

The recall was that legally it has to be in child proof bottles..

I was going to an asian therapist for knee and back pain. The massage an accupressure therapist gave me turpintine solution to administer to those areas.

It was amazing how quickly that helped not only the pain and soreness..It cleared it up!

So I was so pleases to see an article on this. It is not a miracle but it is better than. Big Pharma and it's poison with awful side affects.

Thank you for educating the public!

EDIT*** L-Ornithine is what I also used for Herxeimer reaction with NAC.

Love this! I did turpentine cleanse in 2020. Detox Bros had great info on it and useful protocol items. I bought everything but only used the castor oil, L-Ornithine and NAC. You want to “go”, get those toxins out-drink plenty of water. (L-Ornithine) and NAC made my Herxeimer symptoms go away in about 20 min. Parasites are dying and your urine will smell like pure ammonia. Research and read other testimonies if you try. I wasn’t too worried because the school used to give my mom turpentine twice a year in the 40’s.

EK MtnTime's avatar

Remind me, what is NAC? Thanks

Gaye's avatar

It is used in large doses in emergency situations when someone

has overdosed acetaminophen to prevent liver toxicity. It can be found in all health food and vitamin stores and is a great detoxifier. It can also thin mucous and help replenish glutathione.

aprayerformonkey's avatar

PayPal will not allow you to use their site to buy NAC. That should tell you alot.

Reminds me I need to finish closing out that account. 😈

N-Acetyl-Cysteine. Just FYI, it's one of the few supplements that always seems to make me feel better (in terms of general healthy/energy) immediately. Though I couldn't say why, sorry~!

Hope's avatar

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC) I get it on amazon.

For general health and to treat any parasites, I have been using turpentine (with a bit of sugar) for the past few years, maybe once a month. I buy the Diamond G Forest Products, Georgia Pine Gum Spirits, 100% pure turpentine. It's affordable so I stocked up, bought 10 bottles.

I use about one 4-ounce bottle per year.

I'm following instructions from Dr. Jennifer Daniels. Here's a video. Start at the 25-minute mark.......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUXfZl9uO-0&list=PLBj0Kfemfk4VCkFCJSGnHH8PlLp-LugOT&index=5

Thanks for that practical info. After the big economic collapse, there may not be any doctors to run to, so it's good to have a little kit of things, some of which we are now warned against.

Remnant Warrior's avatar

I see what you mean, Rob. When I was typing my reply, somehow the words "fat soluble" got attached to the original link and I could not delete them. I did not realize that that changed the article cited to one on fat soluble vitamins! and not DMSO. So sorry! The Amazon page with the DMSO book has a quote from the book 1/2 way down the page, explaining that DMSO dissolves both fat and water soluble compounds. Try this link also: https://xcchemico.com/blog/dmso-dimethyl-sulfoxide Sorry for the confusion.

As always, thank you for such important information. Every simple remedy you highlight the more I scream “Death to Big Pharma”!

Thank you, Unbekoming, this is very interesting. I will definitely delve into this further especially since a few days ago I was reading comments on another writer's Substack post in which a commenter stated he'd used turpentine to eliminate parasites. He said that he had been unable to clear the parasites with other methods. I was astonished. I had never heard of actually ingesting turpentine until reading his comment and now only a few days later, this shows up in my inbox. I'm taking this as a sign, and positive one at that. Again, thank you!

Abheda's avatar

That's good to hear. One of my dogs recently got fleas; I went to the vet to get Bravecto, which seems very reliable; but it was nearly $100! So I said hell no and luckily the fleas went away by themselves. Time to get some turpentine, both for me, and for the "kids!"

Nathan's avatar

Wild...I wrote a song recently and called it Turpentine. I suppose I should read this whole Stack 🤔😉

Gaye's avatar

I can’t tell you how many times I saw my father-in-law pour turpentine on his hands and rub them together like it was soap after he’d been working in the yard. Now it makes sense.

reid hardenbergh's avatar

Much appreciated as with all your posts. "Like dissolves like". Such a great truism of chemistry. At the ocean beach ( 1950's) there was a coke bottle with gasoline and old towel pieces to take the tar off feet that would occasionally wash on shore. Your news is so old/new... yin/yang.. so much more similar to TCM.... that I love it and my " brainwashing" from western medicine so needs your perspective. Thank you. Radiant Health is an everyday practice. Waiting until there is "dis-EASE" or supposedly "preventative screening" in order to be told you are ill and need more western medicine.... ouch. And... "don't throw the baby( western medicine) out with the bathwater. Use what works.

Abheda's avatar

Funny, I too was recently remembering how you couldn't go to the beach without coming home with a giant glob of black gook on your sole(s). I'd totally forgotten. That was in Pacific Beach, are you talking about Ocean Beach in San Diego? And yes, I'm pretty sure we'd have used turpentine to get it off!
