A very good explanation of how the gatekeepers function: define a standard for everyone. I think Unbekoming you have captured main points of valid criticism of the Palmer and Bhakdi post.
Indeed, there is no reason, in my opinion, that modern science cannot routinely and demonstrably isolate a presumed nanoscopic biological pathogen directly from the bodies of infected animals, and directly characterize the said isolates alone, and quantify their concentrations in organs or bodies to correlate to state of "infection", without relying on soup feeds into PCR machines or electrophoresis gels. The failure to do this is a demonstration that their model of viral cause in most diseases believed to be viral is tenuous (to be generous).

His claim that hpv doesn’t cause cervical cancer requires us to ignore the fact that cervical cancer rates and rates of abnormal Pap smear results have plummeted by 85-90%. The author also completely mischaracterized latent TB as asymptomatic disease. There is no ongoing disease in latent TB. The bacterium is simply hibernating - not reproducing, and therefore not causing disease. This is also true for all human herpes viruses. But once again, if you give someone a shingles vaccines their herpes varicella virus doesn’t awaken from dormancy and cause shingles.? That vaccine does not modify any other factor - just antibodies to this specific virus.

I think Unbekoming you have captured main points of valid criticism of the Palmer and Bhakdi post.
Indeed, there is no reason, in my opinion, that modern science cannot routinely and demonstrably isolate a presumed nanoscopic biological pathogen directly from the bodies of infected animals, and directly characterize the said isolates alone, and quantify their concentrations in organs or bodies to correlate to state of "infection", without relying on soup feeds into PCR machines or electrophoresis gels. The failure to do this is a demonstration that their model of viral cause in most diseases believed to be viral is tenuous (to be generous).

IMO, this is pure speculation, in addition to being circular logic by using the word "infectious".

Nonsense, IMO, this has never been done. I have not found an example in any of several highly cited papers on sequencing of supposed isolates.

So, the measles virus doesn’t cause measles? Please explain why if you give people a measles vaccine measles ceases to be a problem in the populations vaccinated? Same for mumps, rubella, polio. Explain how giving a vaccine for influenza reduces influenza infection by 30% and hospitalization rates by 70%. His claim that hpv doesn’t cause cervical cancer requires us to ignore the fact that cervical cancer rates and rates of abnormal Pap smear results have plummeted by 85-90%. The author also completely mischaracterized latent TB as asymptomatic disease. There is no ongoing disease in latent TB. The bacterium is simply hibernating - not reproducing, and therefore not causing disease. This is also true for all human herpes viruses. But once again, if you give someone a shingles vaccines their herpes varicella virus doesn’t awaken from dormancy and cause shingles.? That vaccine does not modify any other factor - just antibodies to this specific virus.

What is just as impossible to isolate an any virus is vested interest.
We are beings of energy and mind, the world is a beautiful machine, we have poisoned our thoughts. I was a fool for so long, and God willing I will remain a fool, but I will not be fooled by men any longer.
Screw the experts. My body tells me otherwise about viruses and germ theory and vaccines and drugs. I have no connections to any of them.
This subject has become even more tangled and knotted in confusion and fallacy, as the years have progressed.
Palmer is correct, in that the ‘science community’ cannot be trusted. Blind Freddy can see that ‘public health bureaucrats’ have been wrong from the get go when it comes to their claims about viruses.
The problem with the skeptics however, is they accept the health bureaucrats premise, despite not agreeing with what they are told.
And considering this confusion is still prominent and ongoing 6 years later - it’s obvious the ‘no virus’ group isn’t interested in changing their own minds, much less, getting to the truth - or they’d have already untangled the fallacy to which has consumed everyone for so long.
For example - why hasn’t the no-virus group bother to engage in debate with the anti-vaccine advocates?
To emphasis the point, how is the no virus group any different from those with an anti-vax position? How does your position differ in actual practice?
If the truth mattered more than people’s own egos, they’d clearly be able to define these areas in contention, with logic and reason. But that’s never happened. The no virus group has never shown any interest in sorting out the confusion, they have only ever tried to force their own dogma onto others, without demonstrating a hint of understanding, as to what it is they deny.
Nothing illustrates this clearer than the no-virus groups relentless demand for the ‘virus to be isolated’.
Different biological entities have defining characteristics. That’s what puts these things in their own classification - taxonomy.
The number one defining characteristic of a virus is that “A VIRUS NEEDS A HOST.” This has always been the defining characteristic of a virus.
You could argue for malevolence reasons this rarely gets emphasised or mentioned anymore, but since the ‘study of life’ became the scientific field of biology, it’s always been known a virus is defined by the fact that it needs a living host.
To clarify what that means - a virus only survives inside the cell of a living organism.
Viruses do not survive anywhere else. They do not live on earth’s surface. The only place a virus can be found is inside the cell of a living organism.
So the constant and relentless demand to ‘isolate the virus’ coming from this group, as though such an impossibility could somehow be proof of existence, is simply idiotic. And quite frankly, it’s up there, unmatched as being the greatest of all insults there could possibly be.
If any of the ‘no-virus’ people are genuinely searching for the truth, you would accept that fundamental fact and then go and find out more about it and understand what it means.
But we’re 6 years on and as far as my understanding goes - nobody who denies the existence of viruses has ever excepted the fundamental premise that defines what a virus is.
To put in practical terms, for virus to be observed or studied in vitro, like in a lab - it has to be inside a living cell. “Lab technicians” will always use the cell of another animal or an aborted baby’s cell.
It baffles me as to why nobody in the no virus group has managed to work that out yet.
