I recently became highly allergic to Vitamin C! It was in my compounded Ivermectin and now I have to get Inert (sp?) Ivermectin. It's in EVERY DAMN THING..so one has to wonder what the heck is really in it! Just a few days ago I started taking Butyrate. It had an ingredient called ascorbly palimate (sp?)...yeah that's fricking Vitamin C too! 🤬 Like just call things what they are and then list what source...which they are actually SUPPOSED to do! My main question is WHY DO SUPPLEMENTS ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE OTHER THINGS INCLUDED??? Vitamin C being the MAIN one! There's even some broccoli ingredient in several of the Dim supplements. PS Broccoli is high in Vitamin C. It's never enough for the recommended daily intake AND most people take it anyway! It's like Maltodextrin!!! ALOT of people are sensitive to it, but yet go to Natural Grocers and it's in EVERYTHING! I have no argument Vitamin C is good for us and animals...my argument is every since the scamdemic they've pushed Vitamin C as a cure all and just now in my 50's all the sudden I'm allergic to it?! Something isn't right... And we all know since the scamdemic there's not alot of companies to choose from so I believe they're getting their Vitamin C additive from the same source! Just my opinion...I'm no doctor or scientist. I just know something doesn't sit well with this new found allergy.
I haven't read it yet, but I did see corn syrup in website. I ABSOLUTELY CAN'T DO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP! It hates me BAD and my body returns that feeling! Try finding "so-called" healthy gummies without that crap in it?! Sad part is just like my homeopathic MD told me the more you stay away from something the WORSE the response is when you come into contact with it is and he isn't lying! 😵💫 Thank you for the article Bard!
Amen, I can surely relate to that. After being chelated to remove heavy metals and going organic as much as possible, perish the thought I would fall off the wagon and go to a restaurant. An explosion in my body like Krakatoa, no way I could ignore that. I absolutely knew it was what I ate.
What's depressing is all the crap in "supposedly" healthy stuff in health food store products! Their idea of healthy is NOT my idea! I learned quite some time ago I can't do Maltodextrin. A pharmacist told me if only I knew just HOW many people can't! That tells me it's crap, but they put it in foods and supplements! 🥴
That reminds me of Equal. They started putting Equal in EVERYTHING considered low sugar, zero calories in the 70's. After having a baby in the 80's ( never having used Equal) and wanting to get back into my clothes again, I started substituting Equal in my coffee.
First cup, ran to the toilet to vomit. Then heart palpitations. Stopped it. Then one day I accidentally bought coffee creamer not noticing it was sugar free. Same thing happened. My husband thought he was having a heart attack. I looked at the creamer and there it was. Equal.
Well my body certainly agrees with you!!! Initial response was a rash all around my torso! It was HORRIBLE and itched like a billion mosquito bites! I tried EVERYTHING! It was only after I realized days I took my Ivermectin it itched even worse! I already knew I couldn't take Vitamin C supplements...they broke my face out! 3 days after first missed Ivermectin (I only take 200 mg twice a week) I was almost clear after EIGHT weeks of that rash!
Ivermectin is P-gp inhibitor - P-gp is a protector of the blood brain barrier. Search Tim Truth on bitchute "ivermectin" he goes over the trials and is very eye opening.

Your "allergies" are most likely due to Ivermectin, not Vitamin C. Ivermectin is extremely toxic and dangerous. What other supplements are you taking? Many of them are also problematic.
Ivermectin won the Nobel prize as one of the 10 greatest medicines ever created. Only Fauci demonized it. My doctor issued prescriptions of Ivermectin for all his patients in Mar.2020. I never needed it, even though I refilled it twice, because covid was a scam. Later on my dog had a severe ear infection that no vet could cure. I gave him Ivermectin day 1 and day 2. Day 3 infection gone.
Nope...I take compounded Ivermectin inert now and have for a year without any issues! I recently started taking a supplement that had ascorbyl palimate in it...not realizing that's Vit C...and within 5 days I was MISERABLE! It was the ONLY new thing I took so I caught it quickly!
Corn doesn't bother me. I've even been tested. And it's not hard to figure it out at some point. But I totally agree glyphosates are BAD! His biggest pitch...stay away from ALL dairy. That's a hard one...I love real salted butter. I did find a plant/coconut based one I like. I usually only eat once a day. Occasionally I'll have breakfast around 10 or a healthy snack between 12-2. I've had IBS-C for years so I'm picky about what I eat and read all labels. Hardest part is they aren't always truthful or have several names! Like ascorbyl palimate for Vit C. 🤦♀️ I'm like everyone else...occasionally I falter...I LOVE donuts! LOL
It sounds like Vitamin C is more than a vitamin, and that it is a detoxer - something I hadn't realized before. Excellent article. Once again, it is obvious that animals need to eat their natural diets. I didn't think about how important this is to labor and delivery in mammals including humans.
It's important to source supplements carefully. There are also hidden ingredients that are accumulative, harmful and hard on the liver.
Many supplements are made from corn and soy. Aside from GMO and glyphosate issues, the seeds are sprayed with an insecticide called Neonicotinoids (NN or Neonics). Neonicotinoids are used on over 140 crops, specifically corn and soy. They kill bees and birds. They target the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and neurons. This affects the central and peripheral nervous systems. Newer research is showing the harm affects humans, not "just" the birds and bees.
I discovered during COVID by my local health food and supplement store that many of the supplements have been bought up by pharmaceutical companies. I was taking a excellent fermented vitamin b complex by a company called next chapter and it was fantastic, went to purchase more and it was more expensive, I asked why and was told a pharmaceutical company bought the brand! Did not purchase ever again. What a evil shame.
Great article and wonderful to hear about Farmer Theo.. I just wished he was in the UK.. as I’d love to buy some more vitamin C. I have upped my ascorbic acid in the last 12 months. Recently I had a serious accident and it’s still very painful and immobilising. I remember Vit C being called the Stress Hormone, by Thomas Levy, and super antioxidant. Your article has made me adamant that I need to dose with C 4X a day, not just once or twice. Sometimes I mix it with healthy sodium bicarbonate and drink it fizzy, but mostly use a tablespoon of kefir yogurt or such, and add half a wee teaspoon to it, mix it in, and swallow it. Or in cream. Is it bad for leaving on old teeth? I used to put it in my muesli mixture, but then a giant dental amalgam fell out (I think I swallowed it in sleep, and suffered a range of strange symptoms and pain).. definitely think I had mercury poisoning. So now I try not to let the ascorbic acid rest on my teeth too long (which aren’t in good shape). I will definitely be dosing with C more often, especially in times of stress, and illness, and possibly take more too.
I need a good source to buy from, from the UK. Any suggestions?
Ps, lovely to hear about Vitamin C babies, and be reminded all animals make their own, and it’s the only substance you can’t take too much of (although I did read about the gut threshold). I immediately got up (on crutches), and had some eve Vit C, and then a Mg supp, and food.
I had no idea that most mammals make their own Vitamin C! Grok tells me there are some other mammals who have the same genetic quirk that humans have. Fascinating! The knowledge of just what wonder molecule Vitamin C is indeed a threat to the Industrial Health Complex.
Are there any mammals other than humans which do not make their own Vitamin C?
Yes, there are a few mammals besides humans that cannot synthesize their own Vitamin C due to a mutation in the gene responsible for producing the enzyme L-gulonolactone oxidase (GULO), which is necessary for the final step in Vitamin C biosynthesis. These mammals must obtain Vitamin C from their diet, just like humans. The known mammals with this trait include:
Guinea Pigs - Like humans, guinea pigs lack a functional GULO gene and require dietary Vitamin C to prevent conditions like scurvy.
Certain Primates - Specifically, members of the suborder Haplorhini (which includes tarsiers, monkeys, and apes). This group lost the ability to synthesize Vitamin C millions of years ago, a trait shared with humans. Examples include chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans.
Some Bats - Certain species of fruit bats (e.g., in the genus Pteropus, like the Indian flying fox) have also been found to lack a functional GULO gene and rely on dietary sources of Vitamin C.
Interestingly, most other mammals—such as dogs, cats, cows, and mice—can produce their own Vitamin C in their livers or kidneys. The loss of this ability in humans, guinea pigs, and some primates and bats is considered an evolutionary quirk, possibly linked to diets rich in Vitamin C-containing foods (like fruits) that reduced the selective pressure to maintain the GULO gene.
So, while it’s a short list, humans aren’t entirely alone in this limitation among mammals!
Uplifting post! Good to learn that much larger doses than recommended are not just tolerated, but useful. Most Vitamin C is water soluble only and leaves the body in about four hours, but I switched to liposomal (partially fat soluble) Vitamin C so it can be in my body for 9 hours. No respiratory issues for two years now, although I restored my body temperature at the same time so that could be spurious. Guinea Pigs are the only other animal that cannot produce Vitamin C.
Thanks. I had never heard this, although I do remember reading about Linus Pauling and how he advocated what were described as 'massive' doses of vitamin C.
It's definitely worth amplifying this post. I read it a couple of days ago and was very intrigued. It's interesting what a small daily investment in Vitamin C can do. I was recently reading about how there are two distinct periods of accelerated aging in humans, at age 44 and 60, and I wonder if daily multi-gram doses of C might blunt the impact of those periods?
Let's not forget what the system did to the only two time winner of a Nobel Prize Linus Pauling the god father of molecular biology, and his research on vitamin therapy especially vitamin C.
I'm no fan of GM or glyphosate, but if the label ingredient is strictly ascorbic acid, that should mean that glyphosate, a much larger molecule, was removed in the refining process. I'd be more concerned with glyphosate if any fillers or capsules were derived from GM corn. The C that I use is in tablet form, which avoids some of those concerns.
Based upon how other oxidative therapies (ozone, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen peroxide) are said to help to remove glyphosate from the body, you should be running to Vitamin C, not away from it. I've had great results with C to avoid viral infections, herpes outbreaks (together with hydrogen peroxide), and other problems.

You ought to check your spirit and stop commenting incorrectly on my character.
You may have some health care treatments you believe are a cure all but you really are not a nice human being.

Ivermectin is a P-gp inhibitor - educate yourself rather than following the propaganda of the so called truth community!
Agree!
