Great write up … No jabs , cranial/ sacral works wonders and have the mom give you a diary of what she eats for 48 hrs . Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there . 💞
Nice work, Unbekoming. Lots of factors with Colic, but loved the fact that you emphasized the mechanical aspect and its solution, via specific adjustments (usually C1 and mid-upper T-spine). Have been doing that for over 35 years, and all I can say is that it works far more often than not. The unfortunate reality, however, as your essay shows, is that vaccinations are a wild-card. Nuff said on that topic for now, otherwise I may start ranting and rambling a bit.
I started listening to this in the car this morning but had to stop mid-way because I was crying too hard. I will never get over the damage an infanticidal, greedy, ignorant pediatrician did to my child because I was too stupid and trusting to question her. The descriptive, entirely useless "diagnosis" of colic was the 2nd (after several days of almost unbreakable somnolence) but longest lasting of the early life manifestations of the snowballing injury done to his gut, brain, and immune system. I will NEVER forgive or forget. The PTSD of listening to him scream for months while living with severe sleep deprivation, knowing now that every time I obediently returned to that bitch's office I was contributing to the damage he will live with for the rest of his life is torture.
I have said a thousand times that (with rare exceptions) pediatricians are a clear and present danger to our children and I will never stop saying it. I despise them with a burning passion.
Back in 1987 I babysat a coworker's 6mo son. A month later he died in daycare of "SIDS". It took me over 35 years to realize what actually caused his death. If that poor baby had died with me, I would have always wondered what I had done wrong. And I'm sure his mother would have blamed me as well. It was the worst funeral I've ever attended. His mother's face was nearly unrecognizable. Swollen from days of crying and grief. I often think of her.
I cannot imagine the depths of grief that must overcome a mother who has lost her child. I live with daily regret/rage/guilt, and most would look at my son and think he was perfectly "normal". But I do wonder sometimes how close my own son came to this end during those few days when I could barely get him to wake up.
My son had severe colic. He had the hep b vaccination, had a traumatic birth, and was not breastfed. He kept vomiting his formula. We took turns being with him. Crying day and night. It was terrible. It was 4 months before it subsided. He got better and was developing well until his next batch of vaccines. Not autistic but serious adhd, many other health issues like constant ear infections and asthma. Your post is dead accurate according to my experience . Don’t give your children vaccines especially at today’s crazy schedule. The Japanese don’t give vaccines until their children are 3 years old, if I remember the age correctly. When they started doing that their infant mortality dropped significantly. That should tell you everything you need to know.
My daughter Rachel was colicky. It was a terrible experience for both of us. I really think I had PTSD for a while because of it. I was terrified my other children would be the same way. I didn't sleep for a couple of years, and sleep deprivation is used for torturing people.
I always figured it had to do with the mercury burden from my teeth getting passed on to her in utero and through my breast milk. But since I have been watching this wonderful online osteopath manipulate little babies, I have wondered if the hours she was stuck in the birth canal before I had a caesarian had to do with it.
She was born as an emergency caesarian in the government hospital in Panjim, Goa, delivered by the wonderful Dr. Kolvalcar, who delivered so many of Goa's children.
"I have wondered if the hours she was stuck in the birth canal before I had a caesarean had to do with it." My advice to others going thru the same thing, find someone who works on babies in your area and see if it helps. A suggestion to you, Rebecca... Have your daughter checked out by someone who knows what they are doing, because if her Colic was caused by some degree of spinal dysfunction, it will not likely go away, but rather manifest in other ways as she gets older.
She is fifty now and has been going to a chiropractor all her life. She seems fine with no health problems. And that is unusual around here in the States! My whole family other than me got the stupid Covid shot but I think there were a lot of duds in Vermont so nothing happened to them, thank God!
Is "dairy" the foreign protein culprit or is it specifically "diary, pasteurized+homogenized, where dairy that is RAW diary is not the culprit? I have serious doubt that "dairy" would include unadultured RAW dairy. This is because those labeled "dairy intolerant" or "lactose intolerance" most often CAN tolerate RAW dairy. It gets inadvertently lumped in w/the dead form of milk that's the culprit.
If, the response is that INTOLERANCE is not the culprit but an ALLERGY to cow's milk protein is the culprit, is it specifically an allergy to cow's milk protein? I have serious doubt here too because food allergies come from vaccines when the proteins are an ingredient and the injection of it can sensitize some to that protein making them allergic, no matter how small the dose. In the case of a dairy allergy, the cow's protein, casein, is that ingredient.
If any of this is true, there's a real issue with how everyone speaks on this topic because in my experience most no one differentiates between pasteurized+homogenized and raw. And it would mean it's not a dairy issue at all but the way it's been processed.
I understand that the problem is cow's milk, not just any milk. Apparently goat's milk usually poses no problems. If you have to, goat milk would be the way to go or so it seems to me.
But is it such a hot idea to give a growing child foreign milk? I wonder what they did in the far East a long time ago before formulas, etc.
The biggest pushback I hear among those in holistic health / functional medicine (most personally w/o experience of raw milk), they say a child over 2 yrs old (some say up to 5 yrs old) shouldn't drink RAW milk. "Humans weren't meant to drink another mammal's milk." This is SUCH A PREVALENT pushback. I think it may come from what used to be a very popular book, "The China Study." It's VERY hard to convince these readers otherwise. I question if they have heard our side of the story bec/WAPF wouldn't be going strong for the entire past century if raw milk over age 2-5 was a problem, not when all cards are against them to start with. So you are now wondering the same sentiment I constantly come across. I won't bother trying to convince you but I will say, pre-formula, when a mom couldn't breastfeed and a wet nurse was not available, I think we can bet those babies got fed from a goat or cow.
And yes, goat's milk is closest to cow's milk. It's more digestible, but I don't know if that's bec/it's sometimes being compared to A1/A1 or A1/A2 cow's milk instead of the more digestible A2/A2 cow's milk. If that's the case, I don't know if goat's milk is more digestible than A2/A2 or not. Sometimes dairy operations claim A2 milk but it's got some A1 in there so knowing the facts can be tricky and people may be given the wrong information.
Thanks for all your comments! Re the idea that humans "should not" consume animals' milk: I think that is based on cultural ideas/values and not any nutritional and scientific facts. In parts of the far east they believed (or so I have read) that over time a population consuming animals' milk would become dull, like the animal whose milk was consumed. I am just passing that along, I don't know if there is truth to humans becoming stupid from consuming milk generation after generatio.
Regarding adults consuming milk: From Hebrews Ch. 5: (King James Version) "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe."
Adults who crave milk say that the above passage is only a metaphor, but I am not so sure. It could be claimed that just nearly everything we disagree with in the bible is "just a metaphor".
My mum told me that the public health nurse would go to homes decades ago (prior to formulas) and tell women who had a baby to not give their newborns plain cows's milk as it would make the child sick. They were told to dilute it with water and add sugar to get the fat/protein/carb ratio correct. So, if that is better than the ghastly formulas, I don't know!
My son never had any animal's milk and never had a runny nose or ear infections or any problem which some medical practitioners say is caused by the consumption of animals' milk.
I am sorry but I know nothing about A2 and A1. I've never heard any of this.
Neither my sister nor I can stand the taste of milk. (I can tolerate kefir.) We never drank milk from our cows on the farm. It was poured onto porridge (with sugar to kill the taste) or made into cheese or other ferments. When I moved to the city at a young age I was aghast to see my peers drinking glassfuls of milk. Many times a day, yet. Oy...
Years ago I attended a Weston A Price potluck. A farmer in attendance brought raw milk. I told him I'd love to try it but that I was lactose intolerant. He explained what you have here, so I tried a glass. After a half hour and no symptoms, I decided to have another (it was delicious), and never had any issues with it at all.
Well done overview. After evaluating the muscle tone of the entire spine, a bit of thumb pressure at the end range of motion at the appropriate and specific spinal level will usually immediately reset and clear the altered mechanoreceptors at the insulted level, resulting in immediate normalized tonal changes post-adjustment. The body’s innate intelligence for healing will do the rest.
Thanks for clarifying that Dr S. The adjustments to infants look absolutely nothing like adjustments to adults - unless one is doing cranial work, atlas orthogonal, BEST, or any number of other non-force techniques (all of which can be fabulous, BTW). When it comes to adjusting babies (especially the newborns), I typically use a pinky on the lateral mass of C1 and gentle thumb pressures elsewhere, as needed.
I believe whatever ails anyone, the first step is cranial, neck, and spinal alignment. All of these need to be aligned correctly. This frees up nerves, tendons, ligaments, circulation, cerebral spinal fluid, the vagus nerve, and everything else to circulate and flow freely (supply chain).
Cranial bones - skull plates can get jammed. That results in pain, headaches, brain fog or craziness, and things not working right downstream. The nervous system controls and coordinates everything. It needs to not be impeded in any way... Or poisoned.
The spine is a keyboard! Each vertebra has its own note. Tuning forks can be used to tune/tone the spine.
I don't understand why there is no advice to the parents who read this to detoxify their children of aluminum. Drops of micronized zeolite should help?

I am so sorry you experienced that. Such an unnecessary hell you went through.

Spinal misalignment also relates to bedwetting.
Another therapy is Baby Bowen technique. See on YouTube and books.
