If the experiment HADN'T been done, they would have:
* been banned from getting married

I sure would read your work on trichamonas and genital warts with great interest! Trichomonas is bacterial and genital warts are supposedly viral. But they both,like Clamydia and Gonorrhea are 'caught' sexually. I have even heard rumors of a 'new' gonorreah of the throat,cunilingus and fellatio being historical practices.
At a minimum, warts can be caused by exposure to inorganic arsenic and other toxic heavy metal exposure (and therefore, probably other toxins as well).
Genital fixed drug eruptions are a known side effect of ingesting certain toxins - even Advil! If you don't believe me google "genital fixed drug eruption ibuprofen". My guess is the body tries to "pee out the toxins" and they accumulate in your genital region and eventually can cause one or more symptoms typically associated with "sexually transmitted infections" (herpetic blisters, skin ulcers, warts, etc.)
Therefore, it stands to reason that these toxins can leach out of your genitals, and then come into contact with your partners' genitals. And therefore, at least some of the time, "seem like a sexually transmitted disease."
