This book and The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk have been invaluable for those who have been habituated to high levels of stress. I am learning to adore boring and predictability.

Supramundane is the Buddhist term for what you’ve intimated here.

That’s great! Love it! If anyone had told me that my aspiration in life as an adult would be to maintain a state of Supramundane, to enjoy quiet, to remain human in an age of genetic engineering and to avoid unnecessary drama like the plague (ha), I’d have told them they were nuts.

Elizabeth; I cannot agree with any of this. "I am learning to adore boring and predictability."

Humanity (and living things in general) are not 'born into a sterile isolation ward'. We are all born into chaos and uncertainty.

"Civilization" tries to reject and overcome such reality to our detriment.

We cannot both, demand certainty and security in a chaotic reality, and expect humans to be resilient and our actions to be sustainable?

Part of my commitment to not participating in unnecessary drama involves not arguing my point with strangers via the internet. But thanks for your opinion.

I first remember seeing Gabor on Zeitgeist 2, when he mentioned that if a newborn isn't held right after birth, after a day that baby would die - blew me away.

In a world of lies and deceit, ruled by Rockefeller and Rothschild cartels, who wouldn't be feeling a little stressed? 😀

Thank you for the wonderful summary of this stupendous book, Dr. Mate! Regarding PNI, the functionality of the endocannabinoid system would seem to be of crucial importance. Be well (PS I love the name, Gabor).
