After your first series I talked to dad about it. As kids they also used Elm leaves as pulling medium (Gramma would pick the third leaf off the top, which might be either just superstition, or the first full grown leaf on the branch, who knows). Slippery elm is a wonderful help for the intestines both human and animal. So is (natural) yoghurt. My cat was very sick this spring and healed with home made yoghurt and cans of salmon. A great help on a bad day is Boneset. Passion flower helps with sleep, but causes me vivid dreams. It grew here in the wild before my neighbors started mowing down everything.
If I want to use turmeric I cannot use the supplement, but instead take the food aisle turmeric (ingredient of curry powder) which is probably the real thing. For small burns I use egg white or Dmso.
I, too, had great success with egg whites on a burn... dummie me came inside on a hot day and decided to cook up some pasta while in still in my swimsuit...time came to drain the water and somehow I managed to pour some on my thigh OUCH! I immediately remembered a friend had sent me an email only a week before about egg whites for burns , so I grabbed an egg, cracked it open and put it on the burn. Instantly, the pain was gone and so was the redness like it never even happened!!!!
Ouch! I was doing dishes at a place where I and my friend helped out. She had cooked breakfast and had put the iron pan in the soapy water, and I grabbed it not knowing it came right off the stove! Luckily she knew about the egg trick.
Cattail has a similar mucilaginous gel that aloe vera has, used for treating burns, successfully. I have used them many times, for treating accidental welding burns, and have some outside my shop, growing where the drilled deep well overflows into a drainage trench that feeds mineral rich water to the garden. I will soon be making flour from the Cattail roots, and have used the pollen in bread making. The bread made with Cattail pollen is very nice in texture, with a beautiful saffron color.
This is such a fantastic addition to the original 12 - thank you! I find it by turns amusing & enraging to see how the government encourages the masses to poison their lawns to get rid of “weeds”, almost all of which are beneficial to us.
Plantain grows in dry soil along almost every road & path: macerate it & put on burns or insect bites to immediately relieve the pain or itch.
I make my own apple cider vinegar. It’s fairly easy, but takes some time for the apples to ferment. But, since Bragg has sold out to Nestle, there is no ACV in the store that I trust
Hi Deb.Butler, it's me again... commenting on NESTLE: Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, former Nestle chairman and former CEO was interim chairman of the W.E.F, and publicly stated that humans have NO RIGHT to water. I would not buy any Nestle product just for that reason, let alone the involvement with W.E.F. They don't want us to have anything they have not yet corrupted and profited from. I am grateful to UNBEKOMING for this stack, educating folks on how to thwart the miscreants at the W.E.F, W.H.O., U.N., GAVI, CEPI, and PAHO. Nestle had a contract wih Canada to extract a metered amount of water. They built a plant and set up extraction on the property. Many years later the contract has expired, but water is still being extracted. Thieves.
Funny, I was just wondering what became of ownership of Bragg since Patricia Bragg died. I rather like Pia Nonna's. Here is one opinion:
"The primary difference between Nonna Pia's Apple Cider Vinegar and Bragg's lies in their production origin and perceived flavor profiles: Nonna Pia's is imported from Italy and noted for a fresher, fruitier taste, while Bragg's is made from US-grown apples and has a sharper, highly acidic profile despite recent consumer claims that it has become slightly more diluted."
Ground elder, it’s a multivitamin in one plant. Other wild plants that are beneficial: Plantain, dandelion the whole plant, ramsons aka wild garlic, cleavers, Japanese knot weed, olive leaf, pine needles, nettles, cloves and don’t forget the biblical frankincense, myrrh, gold!
There’s tons of very useful wild ‘weeds’ plants available for medicinal use.
Unbekoming, I am grateful and humbled that you mentioned and included my suggestion about the use of Horsetail, as a useful herb for healthy knees, hips, elbows, shoulders etc. I am also thankful that you added some information that I was unaware of, e.g. as a chelator for aluminum. I will use that information for good. If I may, I would like to add something of value here, of a recent personal trial, that was effective.
I had a recent brush with "actinic Keratosis", said to be a pre-condition that could lead to squamous cell cancer. I had, in January, unfortunately been exposed to harsh and prolonged amounts of sunlight, in spite of wearing a Stetson, and found I had developed a small lesion on my lower lip. (I need a bigger brim on the Stetson). I decided to act, and used Oregano essential oil, a thin film applied to the lower lip at bedtime, along with DMSO three times in three days. Over the period of about three weeks, the lip debrided daily, with me pulling off a layer at a time, HOPING that I had not made a mistake. Well, it turns out that I eventually saw two dermatologists that told me I did the right thing, one even prescribed Flouroracil, a topical chemo agent that causes the same debridement, and costs about $90.00 USD. I never used the prescription, and the lesion never returned. Oregano Oil, carried into the tissue with DMSO, cured the Actinic Keratosis. It is important to avoid sunburn while recognizing that sunlight is crucial to health. Thank you for your amazing work. Thanks again for this second list. everyone is learning here, and it is just great.
I’m a little late to the party here, so apologies if this has already come up, but has anyone mentioned colloidal silver? (Or ionic-colloidal silver if you prefer). It’s easy to make at home for a very low price, and has a seemingly wide evidence base, just not much in terms of clinical trials.
That is a very good suggestion, BJW. I make it and use it regularly. An old Evangelist/Korean Veteran got me started, showed me how to make it and use it. Colloidal silver stops a little itch in the back of the throat in it's tracks, among several other uses. An old fashioned battery charger, two small .999 fine silver wires, some distilled water, and a laser pointer to watch the progress... You can actually see the silver reflecting in the water when the process is working, with the laser reflecting from the tiny particles. Used as a nasal rinse with a Neti pot is a very good way to prevent upper respiratory infection also.
David , not iroic , a miracle . Just 8 weeks of timed eating (8 hours) and 16 hours of fasting (includes sleeping) and your body will convert from burning carbs to burning fat . doing the timed eating and fasting ,I changed my lifestyle , no sugar , except organic cane sugar, no corn of any form . to fresh fruits and veggies ,and clean meat, organic eggs, organic grains , I lost 70lbs .
You eat very healthy. If a person spends their eight hours eating processed foods, seed oils and lots of sugars, I doubt that intermittent fasting will convert their metabolism to fat burning.
As more and more people get strapped, they will turn to these remedies because they can no longer afford the conventional 'cure'. As insurance denials become more common, people will turn to these cures. Big pharma and conventional medicine got so greedy they ignored the writing on the wall; and now, with less censorship of cures, people are sticking their finger up big pharma's face and just walking away. If big pharma continues to charge exorbitant fees and people continue to throw away their cocktails, big pharma will go the way of the dodo bird. And that will be a good thing.
Here is what the establishment does not understand: once you take the genie out of the bottle, you can no longer put it back. Even if they were to re-institute censorship, it will be too late because we, the population, the great unwashed are far more creative than they are. Grapevines flourish in those conditions, even online grapevines. And weren't grapevines the way we communicated in the past? The way we used to get a grandma's recipe for a tonic that worked? Sometimes lo-tech is what's needed, and that time is now. Grandma was right. Big pharma isn't necessarily wrong, but their greed and price gouging provided the incentive for us to break free of their sick care paradigm. This will spread to food, healing recipes, crops and our pets.
Doctors who adapt will flourish. Doctors who don't will also go the way of the dodo bird.
I think big pharma will always have customers. Look at how the majority of people acted during the big covid hoax - they all frantically rushed in fear to the medical industry for their magic covid injections. Now they're all sick from the shots. Hmmmm.
I live in a 55-and-over community.
I found a list of cancer cures online, have offered it to six neighbors so far and all of them refused to even look at it. They're old dogs.
You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
The list of cancer cures follows.
Just ignore where they say "it hasn't been proven yet."
I wish this were true. (wet dream). Some will probably be giving it a go, but the Big Pharma Machine is way tooooo big now and it won't be locked down. I used to have this dream until I watched during husbands illness and realized, it will never go away or even dent at all. Too many people are in the cogs of it all. I just tend to my own knitting now. But God willing, it will alllll go away. It is an evil entity.
I also had to buy the water filtering pitcher that Dr. Crouse mentions in the video. I actually bought a cheaper version of the pitcher at Walmart, not the exact brand he has. But that's it - just the water pitcher and two chemicals.
Another fantastic list, and I hadn't even heard of a couple of the ones on this list :) Thank you! These are great pieces. I'd like to see a companion essay on attitudes or mindsets which contribute to healing and wholeness, with actual exercises to achieve those. While I realize that the scientific research is perhaps lacking for many specific attitudes and states of mind, I do not think a list of remedies could be complete without some mention of the powerful affects of the human mind on the body's health for good (or for bad). Things such as joyfulness and gratitude, among many others, are always available to everyone everywhere, regardless of the physical or financial ability to obtain these listed remedies. Their negative counterparts such as sadness and envy have just as important deleterious effects. The general placebo and nocibo effects have been studied and are widely known, but specific things such as "a merry heart" seem to be left to the religious realm, as if our bodies and minds somehow operate independently. I realize that this is maybe a bit of a side topic, but just putting it out there as it seems to be inextricably linked. Ultimately, I think my primary rationale for inclusion would be that without it, the folk remedies, as powerful as they are, would be no different than their chemical counterparts offered by modern medicine. The more I view health as an integral whole instead of a compartmentalized set of physical systems, the more I tend to prioritize the body-mind-soul connection.
Upfront apologies as I am mentioning this in supplement form, Oregano oil diluted 10:1 in olive oil will knock out a bladder infection within hours. I had them chronically for years and was running out of options - by then on hospital grade antibiotics and not working. Desperation made me search out alternatives. I went from serial infections to two in the last 15 years and they never actually got to the infection stage. You can feel it when there is imbalance there. I take the supplement form because it gets past my throat without the burn. In light of the rise of antibiotic resistance, it is finally being studied. We shall see what comes of it. Just for interest, I will share a conversation that I had with my neighbor last year. Her husband [ late 70's] had a farming accident 50 years ago and they were preparing to amputate his right leg below the knee. A day before the operation, his Grandma came to his room with her special salve. It was thick, black, ugly looking and smelled even worse. When the doctors came in the next day to assess the wound before surgery, they were astonished at the healing that had taken place. The surgery was postponed. Grandma came every evening for 2 weeks. He walked out of the hospital on 2 legs. When I asked her what was in the salve, she said no one knows anymore. I almost cried. I have been told on two occasions now that I might lose a limb due to cellulitis. The sadness I felt at that moment was crushing. And the doctors??? They never even asked what was going on. I mean..... they're doctors - yet so cruel is their pride, they would rather have a young man's life severely compromised than admit that some old farmer's wife could do what they could never do with the 'education' they had been given. Just wow.
How many doses does it take to knock out that bladder infection? I’m on my 2nd antibiotic and still no relief. 3 years ago it was chronic, they finally put me on Ciprofluoxin and 2 days after the final dose I got plantar fasciitis. I dragged my foot up and down stairs at work , of which I climbed at least 8 times a day! The podiatrist did admit it was the Cipro. Since then I’ve read a lot about Cipro and tendons, Achilles, etc. Finally that’s gone but now I’m saddled with another bladder infection!
I’m going to try the oregano oil you suggested-1:10 olive oil.. I made my own oregano oil and haven’t used it for anything so here’s my chance. Just ingest, right?
I use Swanson's. I know it's not perfect, but I learned along time ago that life is just damage control with a few perks - or not. I take 5 three times a day on an empty stomach and don't stop until several days of pain free clear urine- lots of water with a sprinkle of baking soda. Unsweetened cranberry juice helps things along. Cipro is deadly. I became seriously mentally unbalanced on it. No mention of that in the scroll until your fingers lock up long list of terrible things that cipro will do to you. Two years later the term "mental illness" was listed. I could have told them. Ironically I took it for cellulitis. Now I get cellulitis with every scratch. Side effects of cipro - chronic infections. Great.
I ordered some organic oregano oil. Now I’m just wondering how many drops I should mix with the olive oil. I guess I’ll experiment. Thanks for your response.
Origanum vulgare is the oregano strain that you need. As for the dilution, I would use 1 part pure oregano oil to 10 parts olive oil in a capsule that you can swallow. Oregano oil can cause burns to sensitive skin and I personally would not just swallow it with water. At least test before using.
You might just want to order it from Swanson. Its the right strain and pre-diluted. You have an infection that a fluoroquinolone is not fixing. It could go to your kidney. After cipro it's IV and the hospital. There's some resistance going on. Oregano kills the bacteria by a different mechanism, so it bypasses the resistance. Consider it. I wouldn't' want you to have to go through that. God Bless!
I just started my family on raw milk and the difference in one week is miraculous. Truly. Driving an hour each way to get it and it’s worth it ten fold!
There’s nothing better for growing kids than raw milk. It will keep their teeth straight, their ears, healthy, their muscles, strong, their bones dense, Their mind sharp
If you don’t already, you may want to consider buying many gallons in freezing them. As you know, raw milk doesn’t last in its most appetizing state for too long. Although it gets healthier as it evolves into cheese, it certainly doesn’t taste healthier.🤢
ACNE!I have been struggling for a year with cystic acne and although I am 50 and fit the "hormonal" profile docs are pitching, I feel amazing in every part of me otherwise. I haven't been convinced it was hormones. I don't want to jinx myself, but it is almost like the raw milk stopped it dead in it its tracks (and I have tried everything). I might just get my sanity back after all. We took it slow to not shock our bodies and even the small amount has felt life changing. Digestion hasn't suffered, we didn't get sick, and it is incredibly delicious. My kids are 20 and 21 now and thankfully even though we are late to the party, they are on this train of new found health I have discovered. We were always healthy, but since covid we have refined and brought things to the next level. I knew the second my neighbor said she was social distancing that the whole covid narrative was a scam. Covid just helped me discover all the things that are kept from us! So grateful for communities like this where you learn straight from the people!
Country to make anyone ill, which it never does. It’s always pasteurize milk that makes some person ill. It will bring your person back to optimal health. Prior to first and the in second World wars, raw milk was used at the Mayo Clinic for things like polio
Thank you so much for this valuable information! I take apple cider vinegar (w/the “mother”) everyday, but the some of the other substances are new to me- I’ll try them! Thanks again! ☺️👍🏻
Thanks for the tip David! I know a place close by where they grow! Freebies are always welcome.
Honey! Honey might cure everything...and it's delicious:)

I wondered how long it would take someone mention plantain. I learned about that awesome "weed" only last year.
6 tablespoons? That’s lot of turmeric! Can’t imagine consuming that much on a daily basis. Can you recommend a more “moderate” dose?
I wonder if that 2-6 T is a measure of the turmeric/pepper/ghee mixture. That sounds more realistic.
I tried it. Makes your poop yellow.
Just kidding. Seems a massive amount daily!
Good point. Don't overdo things:).
Thieves.

They're very much all about the profit in all ways possible.
They had a poster at the plant of him and his comment about the water. Des pise is a good word.
Yes. Don't trust those chocolate makers. (Being serious.)
I use all of those.
I've also brewed & used CS for years. Curious Outlier has detailed DIY intstructions, though a little more invovlved than what I do. https://curioushumanproductions.substack.com/p/a-curious-discovery

# 10, Silica - Here is a link to a recipe to make your own silica water. It's cheaper than the Fiji water we buy at the store.
I've made a pitcher of silica water two times now and it took about ten minutes each time.
youtube video, Dr. Dennis Crouse...............https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po8IuIXjCME
I wish I had a way to buy all these ingredients.
Sodium Silicate Hydrous, low alkaline, powder, (chemicalStore.com), 2 pounds, $25.00...................https://us.chemicalstore.com/SSG
Sodium Bisulfate, micropills, one ounce (LoudWolf.com), $9.99.................https://www.loudwolf.com/storefront/index.php?route=product/product&path=747&product_id=1061
I also had to buy the water filtering pitcher that Dr. Crouse mentions in the video. I actually bought a cheaper version of the pitcher at Walmart, not the exact brand he has. But that's it - just the water pitcher and two chemicals.
Enough to make a ton of silica water.

Bottoms up ! Merci beaucoup!
Not sure I can go about finding capsules and making it. I’ve never done that. I’ll figure something out. Thank you.
God Bless!

You should’ve included raw milk to this list as well
I just started my family on raw milk and the difference in one week is miraculous.
OKG - What changes did you see in one week? Just wondering.
I was leery of raw milk at first but bought some at my local farmer's market. It was good and didn't make me ill.
I'm a fan.
Country to make anyone ill, which it never does. It’s always pasteurize milk that makes some person ill. It will bring your person back to optimal health. Prior to first and the in second World wars, raw milk was used at the Mayo Clinic for things like polio
I make yogurt with raw milk, it’s great!
Thank you for this one too.
Thank you so much for this valuable information! I take apple cider vinegar (w/the “mother”) everyday, but the some of the other substances are new to me- I’ll try them! Thanks again! ☺️👍🏻
