Fran - I too, refuse all the mammograms, colonoscopies, etc. I am in my 60s and doing okay so far. No pain, no major medical problems - physical or mental.
I take many precautions to prevent disease. Mostly because I don't want to go to a western medical doctor.
I did have a lingering dry cough last year, went to have an acupuncturist treatment one time, then cured myself with Chlorine Dioxide.
I, too, had a child born at home with midwives present. It was a calm experience.

I have looked for a practitioner for primary care without success, and the more I read, the less I want to be caught up in the system. Through circumstances beyond my control, I ended up working in Amazon.com warehouses, Hell Holes they call 'Fulfillment Centers'. It was here I met a man who was blacklisted from the medical profession because he healed his patients through diet and exercise, we all called him DOC! What a world we live in.

Just the other night, pain on my lower right area got stronger. Nothing alleviated it. My husband finally took me to the ER as I was fearful it was appendicitis. I felt myself being placed on the usual conveyor belt leading to the merry go round of medicalization. Bloods were “phenomenal “ normal the doc said but he wanted to do a CT scan and left. I had decided to refuse the CT scan. Meanwhile, the entire system computers went down. Records, equipment, etc. it would have taken sometime to get everything downloaded and do a scan, etc.
since it didn’t look like appendicitis, he sent me home with a laxative @nd said if it got worse to check in with the primary doctor. (I have no primary doctor). I was relieved and feel somewhat “saved”. The laxative cleared some pain and it looks like to me the effects of travel from vacation, lack of hydration (3 weeks in the dry hot west camping) and an inflammation of muscles around my trunk and waistline, which I am using DMSO and a heating belt on. Plus hydrating. I don’t get flu shots, Covid or any other vaxxes. At 78 I’m in good shape and plan to keep it that way by discernment and staying out of doctors offices. In 1961, I was handed books and told to start reading that I was trusting the wrong people (medical doctors). I silently scoffed to myself and thought..."What do you know...you aren't a doctor." However, after opening the first book, I saw two things that showed me immediately that my child's pediatrician was responsible for my child's bad health. I never trusted doctors again and it got me into a search for the truth. I would not be here today and well, at 92, if I had not done my own health research. Doctors study diseases and treatments...Health begins with the study of healthy people.
I cannot like this enough, but most of it I have already known. I’ve been researching cancer and heart disease since 2013 when they “chemoed “ my sister to death and then my mother from kidney failure due to her taking eleven prescriptions for years. Death for profit.

I was born in a hospital in the USA and on that day, the medical staff gave me a DPT shot and a BCG shot.
A muscle in my right eye was permanently damaged. Of course, the doctors recommended surgery. I was only 1 1/2 years old. Surgery failed. My eye muscle was still damaged and crossed in towards my nose.
I was fitted with eyeglasses at age two years old.

IS it condescending arrogance or an attempt to reassure and convince a patient the ortho-doc REALLY doesn't know will help or not "but take this, cause Pharma says it will!"? I used to describe to unhappy thyroid sufferers (when I was healing my OWN thyroid and adrenals...) that they could NOT just pick any doc -- and endos were usually WAY less knowledgeable about anything except drugs and cutting.
I would urge them to find a doc who had personally had thyroid problems, or had a close family member who had. They did not (could no LONGER) HAVE the invincible assurance (or condescending arrogance) to just prescribed T4-only drug and shoo the patient away. They, or their spouse or child, would cry "your treatment wasn't DOING anything!" Unlike a patient, the doc could NOT suggest a psychiatric med or better adherence!! (I'd also point out that T-4 is the STORAGE form of the thyroid, and if your body could not convert to T3 -- the ACTIVE form -- then you were NOT being treated!)
Hard to give ortho-docs the *grace* of ill-education and the inability or unwillingness to TRY to learn more... but if I'm going to give myself the grace for MY mistakes... I feel I must give it to them. (I ALSO pretty much never believe them! Really irritates my useless VA doc!)

And of course, the "No evidence of effectiveness!” and "Unproven" WARNINGS! are always applied to healing but unpatentable substances which would neither bring in significant profits nor contribute to the genocide they seem so intent on committing, were they to honestly test for effectiveness and proof.
As well, applying the label “alternative” to a remedy known about since long before Big Phama existed seems not to be enough of a turn-off to many of us; so the word "fringe" is often added. Stand by for "conspiratorial" to be misused/misdefined for the same reasons.
Finally "no accepted medical use" is another of their warped favorites. Accepted by…? Oh that's right, accepted by the criminal cartel.

You'd think that a profession that has been so wrong so often, with so much human carnage to show for it, would be a little less dogmatic and a little more active-minded, but outside of surgical specialties doctors are overwhelmingly lazy and incurious. In 2020 nearly all of them demonstrated total cowardice, complicity, and hive-mindedness. I've lost all respect for medicine as a profession and gained total contempt for doctors as people, and that includes most veterinarians. Anyone could be forgiven for thinking that they're all sourced from sociopath farms.

I was born in a hospital in the USA and on that day, the medical staff gave me a DPT shot and a BCG shot.
A muscle in my right eye was permanently damaged. Of course, the doctors recommended surgery. I was only 1 1/2 years old. Surgery failed. My eye muscle was still damaged and crossed in towards my nose.
I was fitted with eyeglasses at age two years old.
Now in my 60s with a lifetime of thinking my right eye was a defect and being self-conscious about it all my life, I recently came across an article online.
As a baby, I was not defective, I was vaccine-injured. And I'm madder than hell at what they did to me on my birthday.

Of course it is. But there are a lot of people who think that any allegation of conspiracy is suspect, no matter how much evidence supports it. Sometimes it pays to speak in terms that people have not been conditioned to reject
Then I’d suggest speaking in those alternate terms, rather than furthering the propaganda and lies by essentially saying “hey, I’m not one of those crazy conspiracy theorists!’ I'd also suggest not buying into OTHER propaganda that says "It's not planned evil, it's incompetence" aka "It's not purposeful evil, it's just "convergent opportunism!"
I agree with you. I would never denounce conspiracy theorists . And I have never been reluctant to call a spade a spade. I often refer to the Covid era as a crime spree and the government vaccine program as an apparatus of fraud and coercion

I've known a lot of docs.... and they don't (all?) start out as arrogant pricks. They really DO want to help and heal... So, I have always given them a wee length of leash because to have the self-protective strength (?) to CUT OPEN ANOTHER HUMAN'S BODY and mess about inside (no matter HOW inappropriate; that's not what they've learned!) takes cojones! Or to suggest the poison that is chemo? Or create the life-risk to some woman's baby by injecting whateverthehell s/he has been told to inject!
Ever met a military jet jockey? They're not merely (REVELING in) flying insanely dangerous machines every chance they get, they're being SHOT AT while they do so! They NEED that invincibility (real or not!). (Which, I must admit, makes them very attractive, in a dangerous sort of way...)
IS it condescending arrogance or an attempt to reassure and convince a patient the ortho-doc REALLY doesn't know will help or not "but take this, cause Pharma says it will!"? I used to describe to unhappy thyroid sufferers (when I was healing my OWN thyroid and adrenals...) that they could NOT just pick any doc -- and endos were usually WAY less knowledgeable about anything except drugs and cutting.
I would urge them to find a doc who had personally had thyroid problems, or had a close family member who had. They did not (could no LONGER) HAVE the invincible assurance (or condescending arrogance) to just prescribed T4-only drug and shoo the patient away. They, or their spouse or child, would cry "your treatment wasn't DOING anything!" Unlike a patient, the doc could NOT suggest a psychiatric med or better adherence!! (I'd also point out that T-4 is the STORAGE form of the thyroid, and if your body could not convert to T3 -- the ACTIVE form -- then you were NOT being treated!)
Hard to give ortho-docs the *grace* of ill-education and the inability or unwillingness to TRY to learn more... but if I'm going to give myself the grace for MY mistakes... I feel I must give it to them. (I ALSO pretty much never believe them! Really irritates my useless VA doc!)

Those are the only ones I would trust.
Yes I have and any that I’ve met with all use synthroid or armour.
Carla - I'm not familiar with those.
But I live in a 55-and-older trailer park and see my neighbors going to western medicine (allopathic) doctors who are harming and/or slowly killing them. I have learned that our choice of doctor is very important.

I wish I could GET armour! What have you heard that makes you not want to take it, if I may ask? My cousin went to a functional-medicine doctor who after tons of tests found out what was needed to heal her hyperactive thyroid. She suggested functional medicine to me, not realizing that not all of us are independently wealthy!

I know. I often consider, in stunned amazement, how intense and thorough the brainwashing in Med School has to be, to have turned "the smartest kids in school" into these braindead zombies. I was once at a dinner party with a couple who were in med school, and the guy proudly repeated what HAS to have been told them: "People say we're arrogant - but we DESERVE to be!"

My father was a hospital administrator and both of my parents thought a lot of the doctors had a god complex.
So from my vantage point that comment made at the dinner party doesn’t really surprise me.
Isn't it wonderful how tough we are. We live through all this poisoning, sometimes in to old age!
My neighbor just turned 100, born in 1926.
She lives alone.
Her friend takes her to the casino every now and then.
She doesn't like sugary foods.
She takes only one prescription for a lingering condition.
She doesn't smoke but does enjoy an occasional cocktail (not every day).
I need to ask her what is in that cocktail.
