So, before this paper was published, my uncle called me from Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser WV. He had stage 4 bone and lung cancer that spread to his brain. He was receiving palliative care only of oxycodone, morphine & Fentanyl. He finally called me because he was at the end of the line and near death and his wife and son wanted him to try what I was posting on Facebook. Dr. Lee Merritt and others were promoting ivermectin & Fenbendazole along with organic beet juice to help flush the liver and magnesium citrate and NAC.

I asked my uncle if he wanted to live. He said yes! I told him to get out of the hospital and I would gather the supplies and meet him at the farm. We had to get all the backed up stool out of him using high doses of magnesium and gloves. At first, his cancer started spreading to his brain. I got him some methylene blue. Then he started to stabilize. A fundraiser and many prayers. The doctors said he was now a candidate for immunotherapy and he took it! Seven weeks later his scans came back clean. Further imaging showed just a very nodules, which they used a gamma knife to dissolve. In six months he was considered to be100% in remission! He is still well today and does a maintenance dose of ivermectin & Fenbendazole monthly! You may have problems with the 84.4% finger! That is fine, but no one can tell me that what we did was folly!

You did a great job helping your Uncle.

I don’t think the point was to discredit us. I appreciate being kept on track.

I do many of the things you listed. I am healthy.

The paper was incorrect or even deliberately deceptive. Also, it was supported and sponsored by the company.

This is so sad and again will cause many deaths.

Dr. Maria D. Oliver, fundamental to this story was hope from my uncle that he wanted to live and thought that trying this approach may work! Uncle Mike deserves all the credit in trying. I am just very humbled that he pulled through so well. He believes in prayer as a factor too! I am so happy for him!

Hi Bernie, thanks for sharing your story, My dad strained himself, it looked like cancer so I panicked and bought FenBen powder. Its sealed and in the fridge, hopefully we will never need it. Dr Lee Merritt is amazing.

I will give you my detailed thoughts later! If you pick up the William Supple PhD. Fenbendazole- Cancer is a parasite you will find dozens of of testimonials like mine! It is the synergistic effect of drug ivermectin & Fenbendazole. I will not discount the immunotherapy, but he was only given that after he was already stabilizing from the ivermectin & Fenbendazole! Gas lighting to protect oncology protocols like chemotherapy & radiation is not helpful! My father was a cancer & trauma surgeon. This is not my first rodeo!

When we finally decided on a protocol Dr. Blaylock told the family it looked like a good approach! That gave them the hope to try! Real important!

Hope and belief are both powerful enough to heal. Prayers as well.

The Biology of Belief by Dr Bruce Lipton illustrates this fact.

Also, the book Radical Remission has stories of healing that can't be explained away.

I don't profess to understand it all but something happens inside us when a person of "authority" tells us everything will be okay.

Since I discovered this, I wonder why more doctors don't tell us hopeful things instead of giving us an expiration date. Like Dr. Bernie Seigel discusses in his book Love, Medicine, and Miracles.

Maybe doctors don't know their own power (power based on societal laws only) 🤔

Again, Biology of Belief.

Dr Maria D Olivier🇿🇦's avatar

Hope is one of the most important things in a cancer patient.

Mary C's avatar

No treatment has a guaranteed outcome, but stories like yours give people hope - sometimes I think that's the most important part of a success story.

ElleSD's avatar

It is.

When one person achieves something previously thought impossible they create a field of possibility for another to step into. Like the 4 minute mile story.

One human can do what another human can do.

Always look for the stories of hope. Make them your guide posts. ✨️

The book Radical Remission should be the first book read after a diagnosis. Anyone can heal. There are no limitations except in the mind.

Love, Medicine and Miracles by Dr. Bernie Siegal is another great one.

Hope!!!

My brother developed prostate cancer 3 yrs ago, went through radiation and hormone therapy. Released as cancer free. Two years later it is back and metastasized to bones in skull, ribs, and spine. He started IVM and mebendazole along with the hormone therapy and other meds. 6 months later his PSA went from 107 to 3.3. His PET scan showed fewer lesions and smaller. The traditional Drs said the usual protocol alone couldn’t have produced these results. Maybe TWC is being deceptive, but my brother’s results (and a few other people I know who were on IVM/fenben) have improved or are cancer free. The proof is in the pudding. When you are facing a grim future, you will gladly try just about anything. I’m just thankful this protocol works.

TheLastBattleStation's avatar

I don’t think anyone would say you did anything wrong. Hell, if I was in your uncle’s position, I would probably take rat poison if I thought it would work. I might even take it if I thought it would kill me quickly. My question though, is what was it that actually worked? Methylene Blue? Immunotherapy? Was it the fundraiser and prayers? What role is the use of ivermectin & Fenbendazole playing? If any of the other things contributed to remission, as the paper revealed, maybe nothing.

Dr Maria D Olivier🇿🇦's avatar

Who knows? Hope plus combo of all of the above.

Bernie_miltenberger's avatar

I agree! See early on I knew what was happening because of my friend Dr. Russell Blaylock MD. - brilliant neurosurgeon. When the turbo cancers started from the Pfizer injection my uncle who was an EMT and school bus driver was forced to get the injections. He should have retired then, but he opted to receive them to retain employment! His first round of cancer was a melanoma and kidney tumor that blew up from a quail size egg to a football and half in three weeks from diagnosis. He had the surgery and traditional treatment with chemotherapy! Things stayed at bay till last summer when the lung and bone cancer stage 4 appeared! We got him through it this time with no invasive procedures.

The hope part of this equation is bigger than you think. Without it, I would have probably stayed quiet, but with these good results I can at least share my experience and hope the others will choose this path as well!

Ten people have scurvy. Then they start taking Vitamin C tablets. Some take 1 a day, others take 2 a day, others take 3 a day, and some take 4 a day. All of them got cured of scurvy! The "excess" Vitamin C was passed out with the urine. That they took different doses doesn't mean that the Vitamin C had nothing to do with their recovery.

Yes. My daughter is under the care of an herbalist for chronic Lyme. Very severe and has had it for 27 years. Antibiotics for 10 years, aids drugs, picc lines and injectables left her exactly where they found her - only now poisoned with a destroyed gut. The woman has moved her toward healing in amazing ways, but the dosing is VERY important as detox in these people can cancel out the effects of the herbs. Dosing starts very low as the patients other systems normalize with the other herbs in the protocols and the goal is not total healing but balancing the herbs to compensate for the damage. I just don't feel this point holds up. Also, since divide and conquer works both ways, we all need to check our egos at the door. I don't like any of the people that have become the face of this movement. They seem like actors playing a part.

Joanna Martin's avatar

Yes, it seems to me [a medical layman, but one who understands Logic] that the physicians who deny that bad bacteria or viruses sometimes cause diseases aren't considering all of the facts. People get terribly sick from Lyme's Disease [I am so sorry and wish the best for your daughter]; they died from the Bubonic Plague, Cholera, Smallpox, the flu, etc. WHY? Perhaps if their immune systems had been stronger at the time they were attacked, they'd have been able to fight off the bad bacteria or virus. But all of us, as we go thru Life, have times where due to exhaustion or whatever, we get a depressed immune system. And then we are vulnerable to attack.

We know that Good Bacteria & Good Yeasts exist (they are used for cheese, bread making, fermented foods, wine, etc.) and they say it's very healthy to eat fermented food and drinks. They say it's good to have Good Bacteria in your mouth and entire gut system.

So why couldn't bacteria which makes one sick also exist? They say that Bad Bacteria in the mouth kills the Good Bacteria and gives you plaque and cavities. Bad Bacteria gives People Lyme's disease. Bad yeast gives people bad infections - but good yeast makes Bread & wine!

Baldmichael's avatar

Virus used to mean 'poison, slime, venom', the stuff, pus, that arises out of a boil for example. It is toxic, containing waste the body wishes removed. Much of this is excess nitrogen based.

They were rebranded to a microscopic allegedly disease causing entity by the medical industrial complex to reinforce the idea of vaccines.

Waste, viruses, is the product of disease. If it stays in the body then it adds to the problem, but is not the cause of the disease.

Bacteria are organic robots designed to process stuff of all sorts, releasing nutrients etc. in the cycle of life. Some have jobs we would consider unpleasant, breaking down sewerage for example.

In the wrong place some of them can cause problems as they store and can release their toxic loads.

Bubonic Plague, Cholera, Smallpox, the flu are the result of toxic substances in the environment and weakened body environments, but essentially are the body’s reaction to its surroundings and stuff ingested as it tries to clear out its toxins.

My ex-husband got pancreatic cancer...and my daughters started feeding him very carefully . They brought the tumor marker down...it was almost non-existent. The doctor insisted that he keep on taking chemo. My Ex- was very pro-doctors and listened. I offered to take care of him and get him better.. He called me a 'fraud and a quack.' Twice, I had eliminated tumors by not feeding them. He wasn't happy with the foods my daughters gave him, either. I took hm for his chemo, which i had told hm not to get., I was there, .when his doctor handed him some Ensure and told him to drink a lot of it. He loved the Ensure. The HFCS in the Ensure triggered off the tumor like gangbusters. and he was gone shortly thereafter. There is always a cause for a problem. I solved all my health problems by looking for the cause...and eliminating it. This is why I am healthy at 92.

CD's avatar

Good for you!

Tardigrade's avatar

Ensure is evil stuff, and cancer patients are encouraged to consume it.

Barbara Charis's avatar

I was there, when my ex-husband's doctor handed him a can of Ensure and told him to drink a lot of it...and I quietly said to the doctor, "isn't the first item high fructose corn syrup?' The doctor huffily replied, "He needs to gain weight!" My ex yelled t me all the way back to our daughters, because i dared speak to his esteemed doctor! When I had told my ex that I would feed him and take care of him, he called me a "fraud and a quack!" He said, "My expensive Beverly Hills doctor is going to save my life!" Well, the high fructose corn syrup in the Ensure accelerated the growth of the tumor and he was gone shortly thereafter.

I used to go to the hospital infusion center every two weeks for an IV for an autoimmune condition. Everybody else in there was a cancer patient. Every counter was covered with plates of cookies and brownies and candy. I was rather appalled by this, as I couldn't imagine all that sugar would be good for sick people. The nurses told me chemotherapy leaves patients with no appetite, and they're just trying to put weight on them. I remain unconvinced..

Barbara Charis's avatar

My son came to stay with me back in the 1980s; and he needed to gain weight... I was doing a lot of steamed vegetables at the time. i gave him lots of green beans and yams with butter nightly for dinner..i also fed him lots of fruit during the day. He gained 15 pounds in a month. i can't handle processed food at all...I immediately gain. i eat fruit primarily; and steamed spinach several times a week. We also have our own healthy chickens; so we have organic eggs. At 30, I was fat and lethargic and 60 years later I am trim (105 - 107) pounds with enough energy to do 10,000 steps - 5 miles daily The right foods are very important. Mankind survived for eons of time on natural foods, long before the Food Industry and the medical industry existed.

Robyn S's avatar

I have to say, I liked the idea of that paper; it sounded good - 84.4%! It was certainly spun well.

But now that it has been dismantled, it seems, like so many other scientific papers, that the results are very...bland.

Perhaps we all want to think that if we get the dreaded Cancer, we can just take a couple of nicer pills than what chemo offers...and get better? But it's not that simple, is it?

I guess there are horses for courses, and what works for one person doesn't always work for another. And what's claimed to be amazing in the scientific realm is often just another sleight of hand.

Still, it's good to have...options. The last things I'd be doing if I got cancer would be to have chemo and surgery! But it's what most people do...because they don't know there ARE other options.

People aren't told by the mainstream medics to question their diet. I wasn't.

I think it really went haywire when Big pHarma took control.

Varying practitioners of medicine embrace varying ideologies of treatment and cure. McCullough himself calls vaccine development an "ideology" in a recent essay on his substack account. He's not the only one to do so.

A universal acceptance of technological reliance in medicine manufacture is also a big part (read nanotech machines in Pharma Co's Labs).

I myself have much suspicion toward institutional MDs (read Medicare Advantage subscription companies). They seem more focused on their relation not to me as a patient but to HHS-CMS for reimbursement, according to schedule.

I've been taking ivermectin and mebendazole as part of a protocol of repurposed drugs/supplements and diet to treat lung cancer. I began seeing an integrative MD back in February. He recommended switching from mebendazole to fenbendazole, which I did. At that time I also began receiving IV infusions of high-dose Vitamin C/DMSO. All of this was done in the hope of avoiding traditional oncology. Surgery wasn't an option in my case, so the alternative being offered was radiation. My most recent CT scan showed significant progression, and a subsequent blood test was also discouraging. I'm in the process of seeking proton radiation therapy, as it is clear that what I have been doing is not getting the job done. I don't refute those successful case studies, but the methodology is coming up short in my case. Happily, this protocol is considered adjuvant to conventional therapies, so I will continue it during this period. I'm careful not to try to sell this to anyone with cancer. I'll talk about it if asked, but I always point out that every patient is different , as is every cancer, and reacts differently to any treatment. I've also noticed a great deal of marketing hype around these drugs, which frankly I find cringeworthy. This article is a hard, but necessary truth.

CD's avatar

What was the cause for the cancer?

To quote an old blues song (admirably covered by Led Zeppelin): Nobody's Fault But Mine. I smoked for 50 years.

Cringeworthy, yes indeed, but for me-- suspicious, more than anything.

"Real pharmacological effects track with exposure. This is elementary. When outcome does not vary with dose, the outcome is not being driven by the substance."

Really? Is micro-dosing a thing? Why or why not?

The paper is obviously compromised but are you ignoring the anecdotal evidence about this which you give a lot of credence to for other diseases?

aprayerformonkey's avatar

That was my first thought.

"The research literature on cancer as a mitochondrial-metabolic condition, running from Warburg through Seyfried and out to the current metabolic-oncology and integrative practitioners, is where the actual next question lives." Yes! I've written extensively about both men and their ideas back in the day. For the record, those ideas are anything but fringe.

I plugged "Warburg Effect" into PubMed this morning and got over 6,000 hits. Great work, Unbekoming. While there is great value in understanding an idea I've been hearing bantered around for decades -- "a great deal of cancer is the result of parasites" -- the signal needs to be separated from the noise.

Thank you for doing just this.

I appreciate this rigorous review, and do question the wellness company’s motivations. However I also believe that anti parasitics( IVM and Fenben) amongst others, are necessary and helpful for many ailments , including in many cases Cancer.

StruckOff's avatar

When you treat people with Ivermectin + Mebendazole / Fenbendazole and see phenomenal outcomes as I have done many times over then there is no doubt that these medications have the ability to cure cancer.

When you are just reading the literature then that is all you are doing - theorising.

But in real life with the patient in front of you with an aggressive stage four cancer that goes into remission on nothing but Ivermectin and fenbendazole then you see the proof.

It was inevitable that TWC would step into its own sinkhole sooner or later. For the last two years or so, they have been drumming up new profit centers without follow-ups to previously released products.

Does the spike protein detox program actually work or does the protein have a "half-life"? Tomorrow I take my quarterly antibody test and we will see if the numbers went down. Did you notice that Pete has quietly altered his original chart of spike danger in his latest "Courageous Marketing" newsletter? When I questioned customer service on spike followup studies, I got a semi-nasty response.

I can tell you that Sombra (camphor and menthol, which I put onto a 70% DMSO base) is a way cheaper and more effective alternative to TheraBlue.

I do not respect Peter McCullough. I don’t remember what caused my change of heart but it occurred about 5 years ago.

I think money is his driving force as well as his need to be recognized as brilliant.

The reviewers of this article need to be taken to task as well. Did they even read the paper?

I appreciate the reminder that taking these drugs is similar to other allopathic interventions.

Retired Medical-Tech Writer's avatar

McCullough fought for attention from hypnotized hospital medical residents who believed that the only treatment for "covid" was the vaccine. The vaccines finally appeared, and with that, not universal cure or prevention of covid.

Agreed. When I looked at his ties with the Wellness Company I saw him as a fraud.

I just unsubscribed to Courageous Discourse, McCollough's Substack. What a fraud and phoney. Thanks for taking the time to walk us through the grim details.

Moe's avatar

Funny, I unsubbed from their substack, then opened this.

Based on Dr Makis' table for whatever your stage of cancer, he recommends increasing amounts. So for my spouse with stage 4 prostate cancer w/mets, his recommendation was quite high - I'd have to look it up, can't remember exactly how much - but we were desperate, and went for it.

My spouse developed vision issues, such as seeing weird colors. This was followed by a complete psychological break, which is the only way I can describe it. He was delusional, to the extreme. It was very scary, I had to call 911.

He was in the hospital for 5 days till he could come home.

When I commented about this on another substack, Dr Makis denied ever recommending those high amounts. I then posted a link showing he did, indeed, have a table with recs for different stages. He didn't respond.
