When l was a young Nurse in the late 70s, we always allowed the 20 Chotyledon Placental powerhouses finish their work across the Umbilical Cord to the baby to finish the cycle . DDC delayed Cord clamping for up to five minutes , letting the Baby receive the last of the enriched Placental blood for it's massive health benefits .One third of a Baby's blood is still in the Placenta and Cord after Birth .

If the baby is a boy the torture and branding often continues with another "ritual", the mutilation of his penis (aka "routine infant circumcision").
