“The drugs suppress acute presentation while devastating the microbial ecology that constitutes the body’s cleansing infrastructure…
The question of whether to take an antibiotic in a real clinical situation is a question of weighing acute pharmacological benefit against terrain cost, with the body in front of you and the people who know your case in the room with you.
It is not a question this essay answers. It is a question this essay reframes.”
This is a wonderful way to end the piece. You have to make a decision for acute relief with the potential for long term consequences. The only place you should ever let mainstream medicine work is in trauma scenarios: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/emergency-medicine-works-but-chronic
Outside of that, your body is amazing and it can heal itself if you let it and help it do the work
For me it’s a very simple answer. Anti = against and. BIO = LIFE …………so antibiotics = ANTILIFE . Stay away from them like the plague ! Blessings from SXM ( Sint Maarten ) DC & the 12 Beagles
Thank you, I will not forget those words. And yes, they always tell us but I was so sick I had to let them. I had so much cipro last year I can't feel my feet and my heart is funny. I had a nephrostomy tube and every time they changed the tube they gave me a nosocomial infection. I had 5 tube insertions in 10 months. I'm working on my gut bacteria and getting my RBC's and iron back up. Long road. I did not know anything about Cipro, doctors in Canada appear not to know and prescribe it heavily.
They’re all poisons, I’ll save you the time of reading all the paperwork attached to those PHARMA meds but I have them if you like .
Any kind of bacteria or infection can very easily and quickly and very safely be removed at home taking Chlorine Dioxide. U get it in Amazon, cheap, you have to mix and then put in a big bottle of water and drink one drink gulp every hour during the day!!!!! Contact me for specifics I’ll explain everything . This is what they use to keep our waters clean, they use to disinfect surgery and hospital items, etc etc !!! Doc Lee Merritt has a great explanation on her channel on rumble . Remain in LOVE & LIGHT sending you healing light ! DC
I am going to find the stuff I bought in 2024 and email you a pic of it and list the ingredients. I believe there were some hippy’s from BC making the packages and selling them on amazon. I bought it because they said it was good for parasites, cycsts and viruses but I was taking methelene blue at the time. If that can work it would be awesome as I was off work almost two years and self employed no benefits. It’s hard to get some things in Canada now too and we certainly do not have access medically to ivermectin for fenben. I have taken ivermectin and fenbendazole from a bladder cancer protocol from Dr. Makis. I haven’t’ had bladder cancer in 18 months. I got them at a horse supply store and used Grok on Twitter to help me figure out the dose. I have mild dyslexia and need to second guess myself and write everything down. Can I use that while I’m using DMSO? One on the outside, one on the inside? Or would that be too much?
You gotta be very very careful using DSMO!!!!! Anything I mean anything gets inside you with dmso. You need to be EXTRA CLEAN and sterilize everything , because whatever gets in the dmso, the dmso WILL carry it in your body super duper fast and intense. Topically use only. For example , don’t use plastic anything with it, because microscopic particles of plastic will be absorbed with it ,etc etc etc, it’s used cause it can bring good stuff in faster, which is great, but if there’s any kind of contaminant, that will get absorbed too ! Understand ?

What are antibiotics? Rat poison. When I don't feel well, I fast and drink propolis. Never again antibiotics!
The 1910 Flexner Report—funded by the Carnegie and Rockefeller foundations—transformed medical education, eliminating schools that emphasized homeopathy, naturopathy, and any framework that emphasized the field over pathogens. Rockefeller money funded allopathic schools and promoted their own petroleum-based poisons. Every doctor, with a few exceptions, is an arrogant psychopathic certified executioner.
I completely agree with pointing out the fallacy of claiming causes based on use of certain drugs to manage or relieve the symptoms of certain illnesses. Just because a chemical substance called "antibiotic" by currently prevailing drug classification (narrative based), it doesn't mean the cause is "bacterial". Most chemical substances act on multiple pathways, and most of them have unknown or not-studied or falsely ascribed pathways. Bacterial "infections" are often places where certain species of the body's own microbiome overgrow in response to the conditions that are not favorable to mammalian cells - increased acidity and reduced negative charge/ increased positive charge. The "harmful" bacteria can thrive in higher acidity/higher positive charge places. The higher acidity and positive charge are attributes of water that is called "stagnant" when describing water outside of human body and it typically contains a lot of bacteria. The modern "scientific" medicine completely ignores the #1 ingredient of the human body (60%-80%, depending on age and organ) - water.
While I find your essay excellent and otherwise very informative, I question why you chose the introduction of pasteurization to add to your list as an example of an improvement to hygiene for humanity.
For one, milk was brought in to cities and towns fresh daily, consumed daily.
When I look into the history of pasteurization and how this process has removed the good bacteria that helped to make dairy more digestible and nutritious, basulically merely in order to gain practicality of long "shelf life," I cannot fathom that this particular event so dramatically improved health and hygiene.
In my reading, Maria did not argue that antibiotics caused a significant reduction in infection mortality. Rather, she showed that antibiotics could reduce deaths in specific circumstances, with specific infections, surgery, and so on. In my view, such real practical clinical benefits would not much affect bulk mortality compared to much larger impacts of clean water, improved nutrition, the ongoing iatrogenic slaughter, etc. https://mariagutschi.substack.com/p/the-case-for-antibiotics
Antibiotics saved my life. They have there place. When you have a serious infection and you risk bleeding to death, there is only one choice. Some antibiotics should not be on the market and some should only be used short term. Some like Cipro are powerful and one tablet will stop a amoeba attack. Long term use of Cipro can be immune suppressing and allow disease states to emerge and dominate.
poison, just like everything dressed as medicine meant to compensate for the FILTH men have been putting into water and fields and and animals and people for thousands of years
it’s hypocrisy to claim to take a “hypocritic oath” when hypocretes first check for the source of the problem outside the body because chances are it ain’t your body, your best doctor, causing the problem. every doctor is a liar
After suffering from moderate to severe facial pain and chronic sinus issues for 8 years, I finally found a physician with a clue and a CT scan and an MRI revealed a long standing case of concentrated and diffuse Maxillary Osteomyelitis in my upper left jaw. Two surgeries were needed to remove the necrotic bone and I lost 5 teeth (because I said no to the root canals).
Because 50% of the bone infection was diffused and could not be surgically
removed I had no choice but to spend 8 weeks on a PIC line (Ertapenam) followed by 3 months on Metronidazole.
The PIC gave me no issues. The oral antibiotic was hell and I developed peripheral neuropathy in my feet, which a decade later still exists. They wanted me on it for 6 months but I quit after 3.
This all occurred in 2018 and in the ensuing years I have had one sinus related issue, which was ultimately addressed with a short dose of Prednisone Becuz I didn’t want an antibiotic.
But, according to the oral surgeon who figured it all out (and who was also a GP and a general surgeon trained in Scotland) and the infectious disease doctor, without the long term antibiotic the infection in the bone would not have gone away and over time, could have ended up in my brain.
To prove their point, they had me return two weeks after my surgery, and one week after starting on the PIC and I had another CT scan. And sure enough, there were areas around the surgical site where the infection had already begun to redevelop because the antibiotic had not had enough time to work. Eventually it did work and follow up scans at 6-12-24 months showed healing and some minimal regrowth of bone. The amount of damage to bone and nerves was so extensive it took 5 years for all of the pain to subside.
Long story yes. But there is a time and a place where powerful antibiotics are the only alternative. IMO.
Moody, I am in year 8 of every 3 months antibiotic botched root canal extraction .Would you consider emailing me to compare notes and help me choose a new path. Nobody will help me here in Alaska and I am plenty scared. Like clockwork, every 3 months, 8 years August. Thanks for considering. Aksafetycerts@gmail.com
There are many reasons to like this article. One is you’ve finished the story Suzanne Humphries only started. Another is you’ve explained how antibiotics force the shape shifting bacteria into hiding. I was taught the bacteria were killed by the antibiotics.
Thanks for tying it together.
The idea that antibiotics might have a tiny, if any role to play is debatable. I’ll be lurking around for that.
This article points out something that mainstream medicine hides: a lot of anti-microbials are also anti-inflammatory, and may be the right choice at a particular time in the infectious cycle. What mainstream medicine does not address is the damage to the microbiome, which becomes the patient's responsibility.
I think the problem with mainstream medicine isn't so much whether the treatment in question is correct, but whether the terrain is strong enough to handle the insult the treatment causes. This is why trauma does not effect the body so much as acute conditions, which are not caused by trauma. The overriding concern is to deal with the trauma because without treatment, other conditions may arise that turns this case to a fatality. Terrain concerns by the body are secondary.
OTOH, acute conditions are caused by terrain issues, so dealing with the terrain is the primary concern. It may be necessary to control inflammation or bacterial overgrowth by pharmaceuticals, but once the crisis is over, the treatment for the terrain, which is sometimes, letting the infection run its course. It is the repeated interventions that are not suitable for the condition that leads to weakening health.
One thing I learned from my dog is that chronic conditions may require several paradigms to heal correctly. TCM is great when all organs are present even if they are functioning at a suboptimal level. If an organism is missing a body part, especially an endocrine organ, common in dogs and cats, TCM punts and says the body adjusts to it, even if that adjustment creates issues and like mainstream medicine becomes symptom whack-a-mole. No paradigm will completely heal a mutilated body, but some paradigms work better than others. Or the treatment is in layers, each requiring a different paradigm.
What is true is that eventually with the right paradigm, the body will reach a stable condition that is the best you are going to get no matter what you do. For some dogs, the best may be the mainstream approach such as HRT. For others, it may be an OTC Chinese herb that fixes something that broke because it was weak to begin with (perhaps something happened in utero or genetics). Once the Chinese herb is administered, the dog becomes stable and as healthy as can be given the condition. For other dogs, the changes may be so subtle that no paradigm will detect it until it is too late to remediate the condition. For others, homeopathy works the best because of the pattern the organism chooses to manifest.
The point is to be open to the idea that mainstream medicine may be the best approach if it is remediating something instead of a terrain issue. These comments don't really apply to this essay because people don't sterilize themselves. But it serves as a warning should a doctor recommend removing something like a gall bladder because the gall bladder is acting up. There will be issues and they may not appear to be related to the missing gall bladder, but could be deduced by using the terrain theory.
In my practice as a urologist, I have helped more women with atrophic vaginitis/urethritis and “chronic UTIs” by emphasizing the terrain factors.
The vaginal pH rises after menopause, making the vagina much more susceptible to uropathogenic colonization.
Usually women show up in our clinic with multidrug resistant bacterial species, and they’ve had multiple and often endless course of antibiotics.
They learnabout the terrain theory from me.
Restoring their vaginal pH closer to 4.5-5.0 with topical estrogens along with the bacteriostatic effects of organic virgin coconut oil often restores them to a more healthy state with far fewer acute cystitis episodes.
Antibiotics and similar drugs have saved many lives, but they have also harmed many, too.
These drugs can cause significant inflammatory allergic reactions by favouring an environment for fungi over intestinal lactobacteria, which can damage the intestinal wall and allow partly digested proteins to enter the bloodstream.
Fungal toxins partially block cellular oxidation, leading to an initial overgrowth of invasive Candida and toxic pathogens (such as fungal-related bacteria). These pathogens can produce toxins that continue to block cellular oxidation even after they have been eradicated from the body.
The liver, the first and most affected organ by intestinal fungal overgrowth, loses much of its oxidative and detoxifying capacity in the process.
Tip:
✓ If at any time you take antibiotics and similar drugs be sure to consume food ingredients with with anti-fungal properties such as garlic.

This makes sense as antibiotics are contraindicated for rosacea. They actually make the condition worse.

Anywhere between 60 and 90 percent, the cells in the human body are bacteria that live in symbiosis with the host.
A lot more than just antibiotics can upset the balance in a healthy person:
