I am living being.

Psychic experience is subordinated and subjugated to the social defining constraints of the physically acted out order. We learn to mask a performance for survival - relative to natural creative freedom.
The cost of denied life is conflict. Adaptation to conflict can mask over the cause, but the actual life-shocks are energetically active, regardless the compliance with appearances against being targeted for shame, blame and exclusion.
The body is also symbolic. All symbolically derived concepts are taken as if things in themselves. Self-existing separation is the experience of a mind set in conflict as to who and what it is. The body is used as both a weapon and defence, as a projection of face and as a masking of private agenda. But these attributes are given it by the mind and belong to the level of mind. Mind far exceeds its own concept of mind that identifies exclusively as a body — which runs unconscious of the life but for a ruled and filtered perception accepted real.
So the invitation to consider life-shocks as causal to symptoms that attract fear, defence and countermeasures in like kind, might not find a voice by which to be heard at all.
'Everybody knows' operates a safe zone for not needing to know, and thus a freedom to try on different ideas and opinions as accessory to the assumed fact.
Actually I hold that everyone does know that life shocks cause sickness and death and that's why they aggregate in diversionary dissociations or masking solutions that seek escape by limited sacrifice. Trauma is 'stored' in the 'body'. I am talking energetically - it wont show up via scalpels and scans. Repeating shock, or strain sets a burden on the natural capacity for healing, rebalancing. Persisting and chronic conditions are 'retriggering' or looping.
Social masking, saving face, and unowned fear all contribute to 'magical' attempts to heal the body without addressing the cause. But healing is not really of the body but of the whole—which can be blocked BY defences and interventions as the greater threat. For limitation was invoked to protect against feared wholeness. You must not reveal your real self or you will be vilified, invalidated, rejected and cast out.
So your article is addressed to interventions or countermeasures to a perception of a violating, invasive pathological disease (syndrome). The models all share such a predicate even if the assign different causes or mechanisms.
If life is self-healing - given the support and freedom to restore function, the 'cancers' come and go without attracting the curse of a death diagnosis and correspondingly toxic 'treatments.
But under a medicalised control system - that pharms sickness in human assets, the healing pathways are weakened blocked or rendered insufficient. And the scanners are seeking biomarkers by which to recruit 'customers' under variable parameters or 'probability modelling'.
What happened in the lives of those assigned a cancer diagnosis?

But it's a harder to communicate this a medically trained or conditioned mindset.

But what are we giving power to, or priority as accepted meaning, when we make a decision under such a 'diagnosis'. Social pressure can do what a misguided and corrupted system otherwise could never do.
So much of accepting responsibility for living is the willingness to step out of 'groupthink'.
This willingness aligns with healing our lives - not a force of will by which to prove anything to anyone.
Disconnection from love and life is shocking or terrorising to a limited and limiting sense of defence against 'powers' deemed beyond our control.
Trauma doesn't have to be 'big' in the world's terms to trigger the stab of pain, the loss of peace and the freeze or contraction to defences of coping or compensating.
