Do you think the prevalence of this "disease" may have anything to do with over a century of aluminum smelting in the region of the Saguenay River? The St. Lawrence River downstream of the effluence of the Saguenay River is known to be one of the most polluted areas in Canada. The consumption of shellfish from this region has been forbidden for over thirty years now due to the high levels of mercury contamination. The whale populations have been decimated by the pollution. Years back, a dead whale washed up on the shores in the Bas St. Laurent region that had to be disposed of as hazardous waste.

My position for the last 20 years (or more) has been that ALLOWING these two environmental contaminants to remain in man's "terrain" environment, will continue to maim everything in sight. Glyphosate is not the only POISON farmers pour onto farm fields. You know? Fields where FOOD CROPS are grown... Another wonderful practice is dumping Organophosphates into farm lands.
My younger brother, born in 1955, had Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He died in 1977. No other family members have this disease. Our mother died very young. Any idea if there's any connection between Duchenne and the muscular dystrophy discussed in this article? Thank you!!
